Maru Korean Bbq, Oceanside, Ca

This is one great Korean BBQ spot, the food is good and so is the pricing. They bring the food out fast and the meat just the same. The down side is the service. Mixed up orders, wrong drinks, wrong tables served. Overall I would have to still recommend this place because of the nice experience and the very apologetic staff, however if you're quick to be angry at someone then this place is not for you.

I'm glad they included an all you can eat option. This makes it truly valuable! The meat here is great! I do wish they had some better sauce like at Manna or Jeong Won, but the one provided wasn't bad. (EDIT: The ponzu sauce they use now is DELICIOUS!) Also had to ask for a side of white rice, surprised they didnt really provide that without asking. I guess it's ok since not everyone eats it. My only true complaint is that they don't have refills for your drink, if you ordered soda you get a can and that's it. No fountain drinks! Despite all of the above, service is great, meat was delicious, and I think at 20$ all you can eat, it was a bargain. Update: I've easily redeemed 2 punch cards, and I just love coming here; my 5 star review stands, though I've amended that the ponzu sauce they use now is perfect. I would like to add as a nitpick that the tongue and beef belly in particular can sometimes be the absolute best, and others I will stay away from the rest of my visit because they are tough and chewy, particularly saddening as they are my favorite cuts to order. Again, at 20 - 25 all you can eat, it's still a damn amazing deal, and I will continue coming here often.

Everything was amazing. The service was quick and spot on. We had to make a reservation but when we arrived we were immediately seated and served the sides and beverages for the table. It wasn't busy when we got there, but picked up a bit as we ate. Service didn't slow at all. They kept the meat selections coming pretty quickly. The ramen, rice and other sides were delicious, along with the meat buffet. Lots of options and well worth it for the $25 and couple hours worth of time. Went as a group of three. We felt like its fun as a group as compared to a pair or individual. Atmosphere seemed to be authentic but casual.

Second time at here. Its all you can eat meat but the fried rice, rolls, and soup, are only two rounds, the waiter said we can just do regulat white rice after the two rounds. The meats okay with marinade, but not the best. Ive had way better at at a dollar or two cheaper for the price. The surroundings are okay as well nothing that well show what your paying for. Over all the food is a 6/10, customer service 8/10, setting 5/10.

I lived in Korea for 2 years and this place has a very nice menu. It's very close to traditional, but I'm kind of picky. it's reasonably priced and I enjoy the atmosphere. Thank you for having this in North County. The only draw-back is that about 50% of the time the wait staff is too busy and can't help us with what we need quicker. Please hire more people. :)
