El Pollo Chulo

If I write a review it's because it was very bad or very good. THIS restaurant isn't fancy and doesn't stand out much against the other restaurants near by. But let me tell you. We had just finished last minute Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. Everything was either shut down already or was very close to locking their doors. And we were starving! We passed a small chain of restaurants And EL POLLO CHULO caught our eye with the only lights on in the small strip. The owner was closing down despite what the open sign indicated. We entered to inquire if they were closed or in fact open. The owner who looked as if he had worked his longest day ever, stood from where he sat to greet us with a menu and welcomed us in. Encouraged us to order despite his grill being shut down and cold all of the food was put away. I felt guilty even ordering. He reassured me it was okay. So we ordered several items and he said he would bring it to my car. This man was extremely gracious and too kind to be troubled. Even though he never acted like it was any trouble at all. It was a breath of fresh air. When he brought our food out he told us the food would be the we've ever eaten. I can honestly say that he was not lying. Try this place!! You will only pay for absolute contentment a happy full belly and hospitality. ""* Every place we have eaten out we have only experienced rude people, wrong order, or terrible food/ service. A sum of disappointment and wasted time and money. "**It was nice to be greeted so politely. And eat great hot food priced fairly.

My wife and I discovered this place and Fred in 2015 and ate there as much as 3 times a week for nearly 4 years. Quit sometime before the coof in 2019 and returned today. Fred was not there but it may be better than it was. Chicken and sides were all remarkably good. All the best in Edmond, Fred.

I can happily say that for the past year and few months I’ve been here in Oklahoma City, Pollo Chulo has been my go to place! The food is healthy and very delicious. The chicken is to die for! It’s nicely seasoned and cooked very well. Not only is the food phenomenal but the service alone is amazing and the lady is very friendly! I love this place! P.s if you are in Oklahoma City and want to taste something amazing, try Pollo Chulo...PLEASE 😊

Always my favorite delicious char broiled chicken. He is so welcoming and friendly all the time. He remember my order all the time and treats me like family! Also budget-friendly,$20 for date night for 2 persons for healthier choice, don’t compare Fred’s chicken with any of fast food restaurants, this one is different.
