Shogun Steak House Of Japan

We had a large group and we were accommodated to sit together even though it was crowded. Service on drinks was slow and one end in the table never was even asked if they needed anything after the first time of asking what we were drinking and ended up going to the bar themselves to get a drink. Most everyone had a drink when we arrived at the table as we came from the bar while we were waiting on the entire party to arrive. The chef was good, but with such a large group each item was cooked separately and put on our plates and if you waited for all your food the food was cold before you ate it. I've been to several other hibachi places and this has not been an issue.

Had a birthday celebration last night, drinks are good, waitress seemed a little aggravated (which seems odd because she's only there for 4-6hours), the chef who made our food was fantastic! Very good portions on all our food specially the meat! I've never had 10+ shrimps anywhere without extra charge. It's a little spendy but well worth it! The food was delicious!

We went to Shogun for a birthday party. A reservation was required and you have to call after 1 pm to do the reservation. So if you want a specific time you may need to reserve a few days in advance. We were seated timely, the staff were very friendly. The two reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5 were the very dim lighting in the room and the fact that one of their chefs had called in sick which left us waiting over an hour at one point in the meal. However they get high marks for their ability to solve problems on the fly. The chef we had was extremely well trained, great sense of humor, very flashy skills and fantastic food! Well worth the visit!
