Very unfortunate that a practice like this is able to remain open. The new patient office visit seemed normal. It was the follow up that was so disappointing. I was not given blood work orders when I left my appointment had to make a special trip to a different office to get printed orders. Then when blood work results were In I waited two weeks after. I had to leave a couple messages for them to follow up with me. I then had to request a prescription to treat a current condition that the blood work results came out normal range. Glad it wasn’t life-threatening. When they said the would call in a prescribed they would call it in that morning. Well it took two days after having to call them twice to remind them. I called spoke with the director of nursing staff informed him of my concerns. Not only for my care but also my mother In-laws who has more serious issues then myself. He told me he would follow her care as I would no long be a patient of record at there office. Well sadly to say. He has not followed her care. She is still waiting for for there office to follow up with her and a referral to another office. Her last doctors visit was 2 months ago. Unfortunately her condition worsens with stress as is not able to make repeat called this on makes her more frustrated. I have worked in the medical field for over 10 years and know what it takes to run a medical office. This is the worst medical professional office I have ever encountered. They should be ashamed! They do not provide patient care whatsoever. I switched to another office and haven’t had any of these issues. They couldn’t be more unorganized.

Upon reflection and soul searching. I have decided that 4 stars is a fair review, as a former patient. We are all living in a healthcare system that is in a state of change. Many times the difficulty is shouldered by pain patients. I understand that this can create a lot of anger in the pain population. We don't know where to turn to get help but River Valley has stepped up to fill the gaps. After coming to terms with my anger I have decided they are there trying to help us and it is not a position I would like to have. Providers are under the gun just as we are, change is difficult. I had to let go of my anger and heal. Go here they can help you, that is my recommendation.

Update: I am changing my review to 3 stars from 1 star because while I have had treatment from what I believe to be inexperienced providers who don't keep up with treatments widely available and useful in places outside of this small town, since changing providers, I have been able to get treatment from better informed providers. That doesn't excuse the previous poorly informed provider's treatment and their inability to properly assess what is needed to treat me. Staying up to par with current treatment for ailments is paramount! Otherwise, as a provider of medical treatment, you keep Montrose stuck in the dark ages! And no one wants that to be true!! ADD: I will add that the employees (not providers) are really kind. They try really hard to accommodate your needs. And the Hygienist who cleans my teeth is a Rockstar!! She's very professional, kind, considerate, does a very thorough job, and overall provides a pleasant experience to get your teeth cleaned. Go see her!

Doctor is great staff is inefficient, scattered, and cannot seem to do minor tasks such as sending records, regardless of your health conditions.. it is like an assembly line and you fell like livestock shuffled through as fast as possible. At the end of the day they chose quantity vs quality. If your health is poor don't expect help from here.
