Five Spice

Had dinner with my wife and 2 year old son. We had the lettuce wraps, beef and broccoli, combination fried rice and egg drop soup. About 35.00 with our drinks. Phenomenal service, fresh taste from the wraps to the soup. When I go back I will get the wraps as they were filling and delicious with the plum sauce. Great experience all around!

Not too bad. We ordered takeout - Beef Lo Mein, Szechuan Chicken, and one of their Chef's Specials, Triple Delight. They said on the phone, about 20 minutes. We were literally across the street so sat there for a bit then drove over. I gave my name and they said it would be a few minutes. (About 10 minutes had passed.) The restaurant itself is simple. They must do a heavy takeout business as there were five people behind the counter just ringing up takeout orders. There was one table taken. It seemed clean and nice so I'm not sure why people didn't eat there. (Of course, I am saying this as I talk about taking it out myself.) When we got back to where we ate the food was still hot. We were a little surprised to find the rice was fried. At first, we thought they had given us brown rice instead of white. We would have rather had steamed rice but it was well drained and didn't seem greasy at all. They don't have some of the traditional "Americanized" Chinese foods like egg foo yung, which I had a taste for. But, no matter, the rest was good. We'll try eating in next time around.

Five spice is solid quality Chinese food at a reasonable price. Combo fried rice, hot and sour soup, and 2 crab rangoons cost around 12 dollars. Meat quality is on the higher end. I agree with other reviews that the hot and sour soup has tons of egg, but it's still good. The crab rangoon was average at best, with good sweet and sour sauce.
