Preston's Steakhouse

Service could have been better. The 8 ounce filet mignon was a 6 ounce and a 2 ounce. Never saw that before. Ordered it med rare and it was served rare. Will not order it again. The $28 meal was served with a kids meal potato. Didn't get your money's worth on that. The bread served was not very good and was very dry. A better place will serve a better bread. The iced tea had no flavor. The sirloin was about what I expected, for ordering it medium well. My mistake. Broccoli was edible, but I expected much better. May visit again for something different. The atmosphere was very nice and the place appeared to be clean.

Very nice restaurant from the looks , however service & food were absolutely HORRIBLE! When we arrived there was but 3-4 other tables, we placed our orders, & the dining room quickly filled up. We had 5 adults & 3 children. As we sit & wait for an hour , all other tables receive their food, when they arrived AFTER us. Our waitress (young blonde girl with wave ring & blingy hair clip, don’t believe she ever said her name) finally brings our food to the table. It was cold & 2 plates were wrong. My dads chicken was over grilled, tough as well as cold & baked potato was raw, moms quesadilla was cold , 2 of the burger plates were not prepared how we asked, childrens sirloin was like leather, & GET THIS I DID NOT EVEN GET SERVED AS THEY BROUGHT MY PLATE TO THE TABLE 20 MINUTES AFTER WHILE EVERYONE WAS DONE EATING & WE WERE READY TO GO. (By the way it was a kids chicken tenders plate) Our waitress told us several times as she was serving other tables, “It’s almost done, it will be right out” I told the waitress , to not worry about it as everyone was already done eating. Another waitress FINALLY brings it out as we are getting ready to leave, & had a snide comment because I no longer wanted it. We were in town visiting & had already wasted 2 hours at the establishment with poor service. My stepdad had them take the chicken off the tab as he did not eat it, our waitress acted offended we didn’t want to eat something NON EDIBLE!! We had to literally stand at the front & wait for the check for 20-25 minutes AFTER waitress said she would bring it. All together, between 3 checks, Spent $70 on horrible food & service , & our waitress didn’t skip a beat on charging me $3 for my drink even though I didn’t even get served. & still had me feeling guilty for not tipping , but why should I when I never got food & still had to pay $3 for the 1 glass of soda I received. Honestly it’s the worst service we have ever received at a restaurant. We had high hopes but we will probably just stick to the Mexican restaurant across the street like always or possibly even McDonalds as they have better food then the overpriced horrible food & service we received from this establishment.

This is one of the steakhouses I have been to that offers a drive-thru. You can call in your order and then drive thru to pick it up, which is what I did. I ordered an 8 oz sirloin, mashed potatoes, broccoli and a salad. For take out, it was pretty good. They provided plastic utensils, but you can’t cut the steak with a plastic knife. Since I was in a motel room, I ended up eating the steak Viking style (picking it up with my hands and ripping off pieces with my mouth). Had they cut the steak for me, it would have been better.

Early dinner there today. We were a group of 4 adults and a child. We ordered steaks, beef tips, ribs, and chicken. The food was adequate, but nothing to write home about. The meat was good, but the sides were pretty bland. Nothing was really bad, just nothing memorable or worth going out of our way to eat there. Our server was attentive. The place was not busy. The Sunday hours were not really convenient for dinner but an early dinner was okay. One of those "been there, done that" things.

A must visit if you are visiting Oneida, TN. Very inviting location, clean, with plenty of parking available and most importantly, delicious food. The stake and rib combo was delicious and the ribeye steak was to die for. It came to a perfect term and the fried okra and slaw we're just perfect. Our server made sure everything was to our liking and our glasses of sweet tea were always full. Desert was amazing. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a perfect meal.
