The food at the Soca Kitchen was excellent and the service was great as well. We got several dishes from each section to share between our group of 4, and we found that each dish came with its own unique set of delicious flavours. We especially enjoyed the pisco sour, the ceviche and the tres leches cake at the end. Overall a great meal, great service and at a reasonable price!

Outside seating is dark and food was barely visible. Guacamole does not taste like there is any real avocado. Fried calamari is mostly thick and hard breading. I make better sourdough at home. Ceviche and beetroot salad were good. Service was helpful and nice despite the food quality and bad weather.

Had a lovely evening with friends at The Soca Kitchen. Great ambience in the restaurant with dim lights but sufficient light at the table to see the food. Background music was great, not loud, which allowed us to have great conversations. Server was friendly.
We ordered a delicious red Cabernet Sauvignon bottle. The oysters were fantastic, very fresh and delicious with the sauces provided. The charcuterie board for 4 had a generous amount of cheeses and meats. We also had the ceviche, the octopus, pardon peppers and patatas bravas. Overall, the food was extremely fresh.

Amazing amazing place !
Everything single item that we ordered , were delicious ! Tacos are by far the best ones we had in the area ( Highly Recommended).
The only reason for the 4 stars , was the service , we waited about 20-25 minutes before someone came to see us and ask us if we want drinks or anything to start with !!

Hand sanitisation available at the entrance. While the tables are not physically distanced they have clear plastic dividers hanging between the tables. They have a seating time limit of 1.5 hrs during brunch and they take it quite seriously which was unfortunate for us because our server was not very attentive after initial drink and food orders were taken. I ordered a beer with 10 minutes left in our seating and she reminded me of the time limit, I simply informed her that had she come by the table 10 minutes prior I would have ordered it then. She brought the drink and we asked for the bill. Food was great. Location feels like you're in the middle of nowhere on Holland St.

Okay first things first: This was my first time having charcuterie ..... and it was DELICIOUS. Everything about this chef’s tasting board was so yummy. The choice of cheese/meat/others melted perfectly together, yet I could taste so many distinct flavours at once. The octopus tostada was a refreshing dish too-light, crunchy, textured. The guac was the only disappointing item, as it was a bit too sour and salty.
The food arrived at a reasonable time. The servers were attentive and checked in to ask if the food was good.
Although Chipotle still has the best guac, I am giving this place 5 stars though because overall, everything was very good!!!

Awesome Spanish tapas in a casual chic restaurant
Our first visit here for a girls night out. Food was excellent, varied tapas choices, amazing charcuterie board, really fresh seafood tower and excellent dessert.
You can definitely tell that the chef put much thoughts into preparing the dishes: the chicken pate had a thin crust of caramelized sugar, along with guava sauce on crostini, so yummy! Chorizo sausages were sliced with just the right dry and tasty texture. There was only the Serrano ham on the board but you can order Jambon Iberico on the side. I absolutely loved the pitted olives with almonds stuffed inside! Even the service ware and ceramics used were tastefully selected, to accentuate the food presented.
We pretty much ordered all the seafood options on the menu, and all were very fresh with amazing sides, just the right amount to enhance the flavour nothing too overpowering.
The absolute highlight was the dulce de leche cheesecake: smooth, not too sweet but full flavour of the caramelized milk with sprinkles of sea salt, it was phenomenal!
Service staff was super friendly and helpful. Place was full by the time our entire party arrived, but we never had to wait long to get a service staff. They also helped us to split the complicated bill and took a few group photos for us.
Highly recommend, will definitely return!

Went to Soca for my birthday. Food was delicious and good portions. Service was very slow, plates were left on the table for a while and food took its time to come out. Our server (who I think was the owner) seemed to be in a bad mood all night. He also forgot to bring one of our dishes out and when we reminded him he got defensive instead of apologetic. The food was good and the place is nice though.
