Burrito Borracho

One of my favourite places to grab a burrito! Ingredients are fresh and tasty. Every time I've been it's always busy, so you know things aren't sitting around for very long. I'd recommend any of the chicken or beef options. I tried the fish and found it to be lacking in flavour compared to the others. They offer burrito plates and enchiladas too with 4 different spiciness levels. Seating is quite cosy and limited if you don't get in at the right time. They also offer takeout upstairs and found it to be very quick if you're popping in and out. Great place to drop by whether it's just takeout or grabbing a seat.

The waitress was attentive and super friendly, however the food wasn't ideal - meat in the tacos was pretty dry and my partner ordered mushroom tacos that came with out any mushrooms in sight. So probably won't be coming back until the kitchen stop cheaping out. It could be such a great little restaurant too

I got the burrito bowl. While it did taste good, the rice was really undercooked. Some of the grains of rice were OK but some were so hard that I was worried about damaging my teeth if I tried to chew them. Other than that, I have no complaints. Staff members were friendly and efficient. They have a patio if dining outside is your thing. I believe that they also have indoor seating, but I'm not 100% sure. (I went to the take-out counter and couldn't see any indoor seating from there; however, what do they do during the winter?) All in all, I think I'll try one of the numerous other Mexican food places downtown before I go back here. I've never before been to a Mexican place that hadn't perfected its rice cooking process, seeing as it's a staple of Mexican cuisine!
