Sen Asian Cuisine

Overall, the place seemed very authentic and food right on par with the real stuff in Thailand. We came here around 8pm so the dinner rush was well past and we were seated very quickly. We ordered tom yum soup and the chicken dumplings as appetizer and both were very good. For our entrees, we got the peanut chicken and pad thai chicken and again both very flavorful and well-portioned. My pad thai was not served with a lime wedge but they quickly got that and also was not spicy at all. Thai food in general is spicy and that is one of the essential components of the dish. Yes this is North America and people can't handle spice like Thai's but at least ask your customer what level of spicy they would like. They came back with a chili-based hot sauce which redeemed the situation. I can't speak too much to the peanut chicken but the sauce was fill of flavor and the crispy spinach surrounding the dish was something we have never experienced, definitely worth a try. Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed and regularly visited our table but could have been due to lack of people in the restaurant. The restaurant itself is clean and modern but it definitely looks a bit cramped at some spots, I wouldn't want to sit at the tables in the middle of the room where there is a live bamboo tree right beside you with it's leaves pretty much on your table. Bathrooms were well kept as well. Great place to go and amid the minor things on the food, deserves the 5 stars!

Ignore the sushi photo in this listing, they don't have sushi on the menu. The food they do have is definitely worth trying though! I had the pad Thai and it was borderline addicting. Fresh ingredients and various layers of flavour. Their salmon is also to die for. Prices are okay, but you could probably get the same food cheaper at Byward market. Servers were pleasant but tend to disappear.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, making great suggestions and making small talk with us. The food was delicious, we ended up having to take bites of everyone else’s plates because everything was so good. Great cocktails, and dessert was incredible. Couldn’t recommend it enough. We went on a Friday night, and a lot of the other restaurants were packed. This one had better food than Jack Astor’s or Local, and I wish that they had the line out the door that they deserve.

Extensive drink and wine list but most of it not available. Saturday night with all tables full but not enough servers so slow service, and missing dishes from menu. All 4 adults were disappointed with our meals, flavors lacking. Kids enjoyed their general tao. Creative with their rice chip as part of their plating. Would any of us return ? Nope.
