This meal was such a disappointment. We were first seated & ignored. the meal took forever & waitress was impossible to find. Staff kwpt talking to the only other person at the bar. Don't accept early rsvs if you can't serve people properly or food isn't ready.I suppose this place has lasted because it has no competition as a local neighbourhood haunt . The interior is like an old pizza joint with vinyl tablecloths , metal chairs , dull worn cutlery & cheap thin paper napkins. Food is ordinary at best & may have been microwaved.. Combo plate had bland pasta . Cheese filling was gritty & seemed void of creaminess or possibly not completely baked. I've never had such a flat thin lasagna with no distinguishable ground beef & the noodles collapsing on each other. They were all smothered in the same sauce so why bother. It all melded together after first bites. Best to travel to Preston Street for a heartier authentic quality meal in a cozier more comfortable environment.

Came back yet again on March 25, 2022. for veal parmigiana & lasagna al forno, with a starter Caesar salad and garlic bread and a half-litre of red wine. Thanks so much to Rachel and Brandon for the stellar 5-star service. _____________________________________________________________ Came back on March 24, 2019, for another scrumptious meal. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just had a phenomenal meal here at 6:00 PM. We had the veal parmigiana and lasagna forno. We began with garlic bread and a 1/2 litre of Valpolicella. Service was fantastic, and the food even more so. Best lasagna I have ever had. My wife's dessert was a wonderful treat as well. Special coffee was ordered (weak), and I was not disappointed. All in all, a 5-star plus rating. Will definitely go back and spread the word as well. Been here today in ‘17, ‘18 and now ‘19. Server is the best in the business. Get yourself down here fir a fine Italian meal!!!!!
