Blue Bird Coffee

Great coffee shop real authentic coffee shop vibes and seating. The coffee it self was very well priced and taste great. Customer service was nothing but friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go out of my way to stop and have a coffee here again. Bonus points for the empty coffee sacks on the walls from around the world giving you a feel for where in the world your coffee comes from.

The place was a few blocks from my scheduled interview, and I was early. I bought a coffee and left a generous 17% tip. No thank you for my business. When I asked for the washroom key, the server barked "no" at me without looking at me. I had to ask another customer for it after her turn. They were interviewing for their own business, so maybe that was it. I've worked reception in a building in Centretown where junkies are using washrooms, so I get it, but I wouldn't treat people that way. Coffee was passable. Washroom key is attached to a bottle on a chain.

Bluebird Coffee is literally a couple of minutes away from our AirBnB stay in Ottawa. The best coffee so far in Canada. Roasted on the premises. Their homemade muffins are also highly recommended. The coffee at this establishment would very much appeal to the coffee afficionados in Wellington, New Zealand

The coffee and sandwiches are good. The vibe is warm and inviting. The staff is nice. The only thing is that when they get busy they have a tendency to forget orders. This morning they made my latte and forgot my sandwich and when my friend arrived they made her hot chocolate and gave it to someone else and forgot to make the second one. Just keep an eye on your order because if you get lost in conversation, they're not keeping track for you.
