Mongolian Village East

We always say that if you don't enjoy your meal here, it's your own fault, since you select your own food and spices which are then cooked on the huge griddle and brought to your table. Free soup, wraps and rice accompany every plate. We have come here regularly since it opened and are never disappointed.

A fantastic experience! Staff was very helpful and friendly, the restaurant was clean and the options were endless. I built my meal and took it to go, and by the time I ate it a half hour later at home it was still delicious ! Even ran into some friends enjoying some beers :) Looking forward to going and dining in. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great date night or family restaurant

I order takeout (delivery) from this location regularly and am never disappointed. The food is fresh and delicious, packaged with care, and always warm when it gets to me. The prices seem a bit expensive at first, but once you get your meal, you realize it's very worth it - very generous portions. I know it will be a good experience every time I order.

My friends and I love Mongolian Grill restaurants, and will travel +1 hour one way to eat. I occasionally visit Ottawa and always stop by the Mongolian Village East to eat - in the past they charged by the weight of each order, and (while that can be expensive) the quality of the meal was worth it. However, last week we visited the East location for the first time since the pandemic hit, and were extremely disappointed at how the pricing has been changed. Customers are now limited in what they can select for their dish (eg one 'protein'), While you are able to to pay more for each 'protein', this gets expensive quickly. In addition, chick peas are included as a protein. In all, this felt like a cash grab and lessened the experience.

This was the most embarrassing meal I've ever needed to endure. Ever. I brought my new boss because I love the West End location. This. Was. NOT. That. Because I didn't want noodles I was served a pile of sauce, with MAYBE a 1/4 cup of vegetables, and 50 grams of chicken max. Pathetic. Gross. Unnaceptable. I would, however, like to give kudos to the exceptional server. She was wonderful. An absolute delight. Had it not been for her we would have left our meals and walked out. She deserves a raise for working in hell. She went above and beyond. We will never be back. And I will never be allowed to choose the restaurant again. So. Thanks alot!
