Bistro Ristoro

This is one of the best restaurants in Ottawa! The food is authentic Balkan: the flavors are amazing! The service is incredible, the owners are always there to chat give good suggestions or simply just to welcome you warmly! They have just came up with the new dish, it is Cornbread Chicken Casserole (I am attaching a photo of it here)! It is hard to describe the quality of it!!!! I highlighted recommend this place!!

Bistro Ristoro is easily one of our favourite restaurants in Ottawa. It's a wonderful local business run by the best people - we always have great conversations with Vlado and Lydia when we are there. The restaurant serves delicious, authentic Macedonian food. The last time we went there we had the piquant stuffed champignons, the pillows, the spicy sausage roll ups, and much more - everything was AMAZING! One of my favourite dishes there has to be the Halloumi and roasted red pepper appetizer - the Halloumi is the perfect consistency and tastes really great! Their pizzas and mains are also fantastic, and I highly recommend the Oliva pizza if you like olives and mushroom :) One of our favourite things about this place is the passionate and energetic team that runs it - you can tell that the owners and staff truly care about putting delicious food out for their customers! It's unfortunate that we had to move out of Ottawa and can't visit anymore, but this is going to be our go-to place every time we travel to visit the city in the future!

Great experience! Friendly waiter, very comfortable space. Simple but really tasty food ( which is rarity in Ottawa). They use fresh and good quality ingredients. The only one thing-you should wait a bit more , but worth it. It’s better to wait and eat a good meal than having heartburn after the garbage that is often fed in Ottawa restaurants. We were 5 adults and 2 kids who totally satisfied with the meal!

What a wonderful gem of a restaurant and a must go!!! Our first time in Ottawa exploring the area and by chance found this restaurant. We LOVED it!! . We had the Pillows as an Appetizer and they were delicious! The stuffed eggplant was amazing and served in a very creative way with mascarpone and feta cheese on top! (So annoyed I didn’t take a photo!). One of the best eggplant dishes we have ever had! We paired it with a bottle of Zinfandel that really complemented the dish!! And a shout out to our server who was just the best!

Fantastic place. Best mediterannean food in town, and great selection of authentic Balkan cuisine. Great prices, most importantly very high quality food and presentation. The tastes are exquisite. Atmosphere is great, nice shaded patio in the summer, and very warm welcoming service! Equally great indoor and outdoor. Hands down the best place in town! Can't wait to go back
