Strawberry Blonde Bakery

This bakery is the best bakery I have had in Ottawa. I have tried their brownies, cupcakes, cookies and I have loved them all. The best part is they are gluten free, nut free, lactose free, etc. & you honestly can't even tell. They are made so well, you can tell that a lot of love has gone into making these desserts. The brownie bomb cake was sooo tasty! My family enjoyed it. Definitely will return again and again.

It’s so nice to have found a dedicated gluten free bakery. I come once in a while and everything I have tried has tasted great! Some of my favourites are the sun-dried tomato scone, brownie and chocolate candy cane sugar cookie. Last time I came in I tried the carrot cake and the bunny cookie, both were good. I wish this place would open up more locations in Ottawa, I am sure many people would agree!

I really enjoy this bakery. I love that everything is gluten free. I also appreciate that they have items made without soy, which can be more difficult to find when looking for vegan baking. The staff is always nice and efficient. I have tried a lot of items and there are so many fabulous items. I will say that there are handful I am not a fan of (some items I find very sweet or too soy-forward). My Strawberry Blonde favourites are the lemon square, peanut butter Nanaimo bar, cinnamon bun, brownie and brownie bomb.

My infant has a dairy and soy allergy so my wife is unable to eat either. I was able to get a mother's day cake and a birthday cake for her here and they were fantastic. Lovely accommodating staff as well. These guys have been able to introduce some sense of normalcy in my wife's diet and for that I am grateful.

I am super grateful for the unique and quality service that Strawberry Blonde provides. We have several allergies in our family and this is the one place I can rely on to get awesome treats for everyone in a pinch. I truly appreciate that SB takes the time to list ALL ingredients, as there are often less common allergens that may not be okay for some family members (e.g. chickpea). Thank you SB and keep up the great work!

I heard a story of a person who baked a batch of gluten free cookies and entered them in a baking contest, without letting anyone know they were gluten free. They won the contest. This bakery exemplifies this same success, delivering delicious baked goods for people who have a difficult time finding alternatives that work for their dietary restrictions, and quality that is indistinguishable from traditional wheat based pastries. I highly recommend this business for anyone, on a gluten restricted diet, or otherwise.

Love Love Love this place! I’m on vacation from Vancouver and really wanted to try this place out because I have so many allergies (GF, DF, egg free). You can’t even tell that it’s vegan and GF. One of the best Vegan and GF bakeries I have ever been too. Highly recommend! We had a brownie, cupcake and doughnut. They were all so delicious!!
