Shekarchi Express

By far one of the best and most authentic Persian foods I've had in my life. I was visitng Ottawa and was craving Persian food. Went in and tried this place out. Ordered jooje kabab and was not disappointed by the presentation and taste. Supreme quality. Friendly staff. Wish they had other branches, even one in Toronto.

Shekarchi Express rocked my world!! I honestly can't say enough about the food here. We showed up late, at 7:30pm and they close by 8. The owner was very kind, warm and inviting and told us to take our time. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. Once you try their food you quickly look past the wobbly table and folding chairs. We ordered Joojeh Kabob, Koobideh Kabob and Barg Kabob (Filet Kabob). Everything was cooked to perfection, just so perfect. The place smelt so good too, kitchen is right there, close to the tables. I couldn't get over the flavours!! They truly know what they're doing. I was full but couldn't stop because it was just that good. Almost ten years in business, this placed should be packed every night. I can't wait to go back!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I have been eating at this place for 4 years. The smell of the food, the texture, the pleasant personality of the owner preparing the food himself, the rice crust and the meat is The Gold Standard in Ottawa and is the same as the truly authentic Persian food I Tried in Iraq, Kuwait and lebanon. Worth the price.

This place is a small resturant with few menu orders. They have the best iranian food. Vaziri is the dish you want to order. It comes with DELICIOUS RICE . I highly recommand this restaurent. The food is always always fresh. This restaurant is run by family, wife and husband. They are closed every sunday and monday.

Excelent.....The staff are amazing they show great hospitality which is driven by the Persian culture. The food is absolutely amazing and one of a kind in Canada considering I have traveled from east to west of the country and yet have not witnessed a greater taste in terms of authenticity delivered by this restaurant. Good portion reasonable price and pretty much the number one spot if you want to know what Persian food is all about. Just amazing both service and the food. The owner is very humble and respectful as well. And I love their hospitality and professionalism accompanied by the great food...loved it I'll go back again today
