Pita Pit

First and foremost, this was my first time eating from here. It was delicious! My pita was massive and filling! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Will definitely be back! However it was a bit of bad timing I think for me to order from here I believe. I tried calling after placing an online order. It wouldn't let me select delivery even though numerous sites confirmed they do deliver. I called three separate times and someone would answer but their phone was having issues and disconnected me each time. I finally just went to pick up my order and they were out of the bottled soda I had selected. I said a normal coke was fine instead but the owner offered me a fountain cup to get the specific flavor from the machine. Wouldn't have bothered me if the bottled wasn't more expensive than fountain and I had prepaid. I asked if they delivered and I was told they were just busy that day and shorthanded. Wasn't really given a straight answer? The workers were very welcoming and friendly though. :) Hopefully next time is a bit of a smoother experience. But overall would recommend this place for sure. If you want something healthier yet filling, definitely chow down here!

This place is amazing. I suggest it for vegetarians and vegans. The staff is exceptionally nice when I ask them to cook my black bean burger on a skillet. I feel bad asking, but I also don't want to get sick from consuming meat grease. I always ask for extra black olives AND I get asked if they put enough on. What?!?! That's awesome. The prices are not too high and the selection of toppings for your pita are diverse; perfect for any taste bud. Stop in on your lunch break!

I love this chain and got super excited to see one open up down the street. The delays in opening made me sad every time I drove by, but were completely out of their control. To be honest, I've stopped in about once a month since they opened and have not been completely satisfied until today. My previous issues have included rude/disinterested employees, being looked over for service, wrong food, and carelessly thrown together food that was impossible to eat without throwing it in a bowl and using a fork. I am very happy to say that my experience tonight leads me to believe this location is finally settled in and has worked out its kinks. We received amazing service and the pita that was handed to me with a genuine smile (and a smiley face drawn on it) was prepared and rolled up perfectly.

I'll just start out and say, I like the food. I could even go as far as to say I love it. It tastes good, there are very many options from vegetarian or vegan to double meat for your carnivorous temptation. There is a large variety of both toppings and sauces or spreads, everything from zesty and savory to sweet and sour. The smoothies are good, and the drink machine is a Coke Freestyle machine, so that covers every drink imaginable. The dining room is average, nothing too flashy but definitely not bad at all. To start with the negative, I'll just mention that I used to be employed by this specific location, and worked there for several months starting in mid 2016 and just resigned about 3 months ago. First off, we'll start with the environment and the atmosphere. Working there was either slow, boring, and leaving you with nothing to do, or it was very busy and you were left with a very high amount of work after the rush was finally over. The managers that were hired were very black and white, either they were always standing around and making the general employees do everything, or they're busting their asses and always staying on top of everything. But, to the dismay of the general employees, the vast majority were the lazy, "bossy" , type. This in particular left a bad taste in my mouth in showing that the people doing the hiring sure didn't vet the people they were hiring very well at all. With this said, the current General Manager is doing a very poor job. She can do no wrong, she has an obvious bias towards other employees that is very disheartening at times, and she struggles to take blame or tell the truth. This was the main reasons I left. Next off, the owner. In general, the owner was a really cool dude. When he was in a good mood, he was really happy and always was kind and always smiling. When he wasn't in such a good mood, on the other hand, he was very volatile. I have heard stories and personally experienced violent outbursts and relentless berating of both employees and customers. This isn't a regular occurrence, might I add, I'd also go as far as to call it rare. This was one reason, but the General Manager was the biggest reason. Her lack of experience and obvious disregard for certain employees is very bothersome. All in all, I gave a 2-star review. The food is good, the aesthetics are OK, but the experience of being employed by this establishment was far from perfect and left so much to be desired. If, from reading this, you are questioning whether to eat here, I'd say go for it. Like I said, the food is good. It's a little pricey, but still good.

We love pita pit. However the last two times i have gotten sandwiches at this location they have been very small. Definitely not what I've come to expect from pita pit. Today after we got done my girlfriend and I were both still hungry. I don't mind paying more for fresh ingredients but I feel like the portion size I've received lately has not been worth it.

One of the better options for fast casual dining in the Kansas City metropolitan area, Pita Pit manages to stuff a healthy (both literally and figuratively) and tasty portion of food into a pita, making it excellent in terms of value. The food is good, flavorful, and as previously indicated, plentiful. Meats, vegetables, and cheeses are grilled at the time of assembly, to the customer's specifications. There are a wide variety of vegetables, sauces, and other toppings available, with explanations and flavor pairings recommended on request. The assembly of the pita ensures that it can be eaten neatly and easily where the filling remains as such and not everywhere else. The staff is courteous and the manager is quick to remember customers, even if not regular. The dining area is kept clean, though the music can be loud, especially if seated beneath a speaker. With a wide selection of appetizing combinations and rapid, pleasant service, Pita Pit is a great place for lunch.
