Sun Rice

Used to come here all the time for best General Tso chicken (in my books) in the town. Just across the street from work so very convenient. My last visit was very disappointing. The rice was over cooked and mushy and the chicken was very different from what I was used to. Can’t complain about the portions or time I had to wait for it. But not sure I will return here again.

I had just discovered this place about 6 months ago and really liked it. They sold the place and now it is just not good! I ordered chicken with vegetables. I’ve had this dish many times over the years at many restaurants including Sunrice. When I ordered a few weeks ago I got some unrecognizable dish. It was not good. It had a weird strong after taste. Not sure what it was. The dumplings were also weird. There was this big clump of something in the middle. That’s it. The crab Rangoon was decent hence the 1 star. I hope they get it together. It’s less than a mile from my house. So disappointed. PLEASE get the recipes from the old owners and please use fresh ingredients not old veggies.

We tried the general Tao shrimp, family tofu and veggie Lo Mein and especially enjoyed the later 2. Online ordering was very easy. Service is friendly and kitchen appeared clean. Not sure why but they threw in some donuts for free and these were delicious as well. Note it is take-out or delivery only. We will eat here again.

Updating this review from a 5 to 1, since this place sold and the food is no good anymore. Heartbreaking since it was my favorite. *OLD REVIEW* I just ordered lunch from here - chicken lo mein. It was probably the BEST lo mein I've ever had! So fresh and delicious. Ordering online was super easy and my food was ready quickly - I did carryout. The man who rang me out was very nice also, despite how busy they were. Can't wait to order from here again! Thank you!

This place used to be fantastic. I would walk in and they knew me by name and the food was consistently good. Unfortunately it has been sold and is now terrible. I approached the store and the staff was smoking on the sidewalk outside. I walked in and they asked for my phone number instead of my name. They handed me the food without so much as a thank you. You used to be able to see back into the kitchen which was nice because you could see how clean it was, now they have a divider hung up so who knows what is going on back there. When I got home I found that they had forgotten the crab rangoon. The egg rolls were cold and soggy. The sesame chicken was mostly lumps of soggy fried batter with tiny pieces of chicken in it. Even the tiny container of sweet and sour sauce was thin and gross. Sadly we will be looking for a new Chinese restaurant. To the friendly guy who used to always be at the counter: You will be missed and I wish you well on your new adventures.

Absolutely fantastic food, cheap, fast, and reliable. Delivered food before in a tornado warning. No joke. These guys have changed owners recently and if you had experience before I beg you to try again. Food had been good for years but recently it’s been even better.
