Mario's Pizza

Almost every Saturday for probably 40 years it’s been pizza at/from Mario’s! Pizza sizes have sadly decreased substantially but the taste? Not at all. Love returning to the Mario’s taste I remember growing up. Wings are fantastic. Some places have found what apparently are the saddest skinniest chickens for their wings. Not Mario’s! True family restaurant in every respect - from the dining room to the owners (the current owners were just babies!). Some of the waitresses are still there as well. Not sure what could say more about a restaurant. With any luck almost every Saturday for another 20-30 years! (Still remember their phone number from my high school/college years!)

I've traveled and lived all across this great country of ours, and Mario's Pizza in Owego, NY is the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Admittedly, I grew up in Owego but it's not nostalgia speaking, even people from out of state love the pizza here. I've pushed this pizza on out-of-state friends, girlfriends, more girlfriends, etc and they've loved it, too. I recommend Mario's to everyone, and when the inevitable "best pizza place in the Southern Tier" conversation comes up, I refuse to entertain any other pizzeria than Mario's. Thanks again for staying in Owego, Marios! You're a culinary and cultural staple.

This has been my favorite go to since I was a child! My mom would always get mad when I was sick, as most people want chicken noodle soup, but not me. I still only ever want Mario's Pizza when I am under the weather! Thank you for being my comfort food all these years and many more to come! Best family owned restaurant in town!
