The Bear And Ragged Staff

I decided to have a day out with my girlfriend in the Cotsowld , with an overnight stay at The Bear & Ragged Staff in order to propose to her at the end of the day. Everyone at the Inn was extremely helpful and accommodating of my request - especially Ronan who went above and beyond to help me with all the preparations and set-up of the room. We communicated a lot during the week prior to the event - even on his days off! Ronan was also our Waiter on the day - making sure we have an amazing evening without my soon to be fiancee suspecting anything is going on. Rooms were cozy, comfortable beds and very clean. Food was amazing and very well priced too - the whole place is definitely a gem of the Cotswold. I cannot recommend this place enough and once again, I want to say a huge thank you to all the team there for making our special day even more special! We will be back!

Went for a nice weekday lunch with the in-laws. The food was delicious. King prawn and Camembert starters. Very flavourful. Had the chicken schnitzel and mussels with pancetta parmesan linguine. The schnitzel was a great level of crisp. The mussels were very well cleaned. The chocolate and caramel tart was a really nice finish. The server, Hanna, was very lovely. Would absolutely recommend. The ambiance is very calming and welcoming.

Me and dad had a first class experience at the Bear and ragged staff during our 4 nights stay! This place is nothing less then marvelous! Food and staff is 11 out of 10. What a friendly atmosphere! We will remember this place forever! And the coffee was 10 times marvelous! Highly, highly recommended. I’ll be back!
