Mugshots Grill & Bar

It was graduation weekend at Ole Miss, and the restaurants were busy, staffing was short, and service was slow. We had a great server, with a great attitude, who stayed on top of our drink refills during the extended wait for our food. I got Stu’s Magic Mushroom Burger, and it was very good (with the exception that it only had about 2 mushrooms on top. I was hoping for a mound of sautéed mushrooms). My granddaughter had the Parmesan Chicken Marinara, and she enjoyed it. My wife enjoyed the Breakfast Burger, with bacon and a fried egg on top. The negatives were the lack of mushrooms on the burger and cold sweet potato fries. Overall, I thought they did a great job on such a busy weekend. I would dine there again.

We visited Oxford for the Mississippi Indoor Association State Championships with our high school percussion group. We could not have had a better experience with feeding a large group! Our server was AMAZING! Very attentive, efficient, friendly and helpful! No problems with orders, kept our drinks filled, and assisted everyone with a smile. Wish my memory wasn’t the worst and I could give you her name😜

This evening, my family and I had food delivered from our local delivery service, Fetcht. Two of the items ordered were a Patty Melt and a Hamburger Steak. Unlike the Patty Melt description, there was no onion (one of the main parts of a patty melt!), no pepperjack cheese. It was a cold, hard burger patty on untoasted slices of bread with a slice of American cheese, comeback sauce on one side, and the mushrooms I had added. The Hamburger Steak had no gravy, no mashed potatoes. It was another cold, hard hamburger patty with a small amount of mushrooms on it. There was some squash on the side and two untoasted pieces of bread on the side. Since I ordered through Fetcht, I called them and sent them pictures of what we received. I asked for the dishes to be remade. They called the manager of Mugshots and sent the photos. The manager claimed the dishes were made correctly. However, he had Fetcht's driver deliver a small container of mashed potatoes and another of some thin sauce that looks like A-1 (definitely not gravy). If we had been in the restaurant, we would have sent the dishes back, so what they sent can only be construed as an insult. Description on the menu of the Hamburger Steak: Fresh grilled beef patty topped with sautéed mushrooms served with mashed potatoes, gravy, grilled veggies, and toasted sourdough bread. Patty Melt: Melted American & pepper jack cheeses, sautéed onions, Comeback sauce on sourdough toast.

The customer service was awesome. Everybody loved their meal. This mushroom burger was extremely deliously good. The mushrooms extended the sweetness of the sweet buns to make a perfect blend. The rotel fries on the side and a big glass of sprite was bussing with flavor. My little sister even enjoyed a burger with peanut butter on with her weird eating habits.
