Chipotle Mexican Grill

Chipotle is one of my favorite places to get food to-go because I know it will always be fresh, delicious, fast and priced reasonably. Today I placed an order from Chipotle on US 19 in Palm Harbor through their app for pick-up. When I walked up to the store, I was surprised to see that the door closest to the parking lot was locked with a sign on it indicating customers should use the main entry doors. I am not sure why this was done - I would think it would be better to have both doors working so that one could be used for entry and the other for exit to limit the need for guests to come in close contact with each other. Having only one door available for entry and exit forces guests to use the same door and run into each other when entering and exiting. It was nice to see that they were taking social distancing seriously by having small signs standing up on various tables indicating that they were not to be used. There was also a sign on the entry door stating that guests were required to wear face masks inside the store. Three small tables with umbrellas were available for outdoor dining too. Pick-up was a breeze (as usual), with my order bagged, ready and waiting for me on the shelf close to the register. I was able to check for my name and get my food without having to interact directly with any staff members - helpful during this pandemic. Now for the important part, the food! I ordered a burrito bowl with brown rice, carnitas, black beans and fresh tomato salsa. The oblong bowl was filled with so much food, I was able to save half for lunch tomorrow. The carnitas was cooked to a tender perfection, falling apart with only a fork. I was surprised that this time the carnitas did not have much flavor (compared to previous orders) and tasted as if someone had forgotten to season the meat. Luckily, the salsa made up for it and combining everything together made for a great meal. However, if this happened again, I would probably start ordering a different protein so I can enjoy the flavor I have come to enjoy from Chipotle. If this is your first visit to this Chipotle location, it is in a small building with AT&T store, close to US 19 (not in the main plaza). The building is close to the Boston Market restaurant. There is a small side street next to Chipotle (Coral Landings Blvd.) that connects to West Lake Rd., if you want to avoid making a U-turn on 19.

Absolutely horrible service do not come here! You won't want to eat after dealing with the service. I'm a honest reviewer and always leave good reviews until I just can't. This kid would rather talk to his girl friend than work during the late shift. I guess when his manager goes home when he comes in. Kid should be fired. Incredibly rude, when asked to help he wants to power trip so I just left. Wish I knew his name. He must hate his life. Will never go back to this one. Its worth it to drive a little further than to encourage this kind of behavior. I have never had a problem at any of the others around so do yourself the favor! Much love. Chipotle is the best so I had to give 2 stars just cause of that. If a manager sees this please fire this kid. He girl friend (who works there as well that stands in line to talk to him) is a blue eyed looking to be college age. Idk if they are boning or what but get rid of that kid.

Update: lowered to one star as I gave them another chance. Asked me if it was steak and I said no chicken. The preparer said it’s double which it was. Receipt said steak which is more than chicken. Then I got home and missing salsa from the the chips and salsa. What the hell is wrong with this location????? My first time at this location as I just relocated to the area from Denver. This location should be ashamed of itself for the meat portions they are giving out. I ordered double meat and it seemed less than a single portion when I started to eat it at home. I called the store and spoke with Walter and he apologized and said he told his staff about it and offered me free chips and salsa/queso on my next trip? NO thanks, I'm just going to drive to another location.

So I just left Chipotle. My order totaled $14.18. I left my CC in a different purse but I had cash, so I go to the register to pay and the worker tells me I have to pay with exact change. So I reach into my purse to hand her $0.18. She then tells me that I have to pay exactly $14.18. I ask her why and she can’t answer. I politely explain to her I only had 3 $100s, 1 $20, and 2 $10s. She says sorry but it needs to be exact. I then suggest taking the $6 from the tip jar and putting the $20 bill in there instead to cover the cost of the food and leave a tip. She then proceeds to tell me she’d get in trouble for doing that. At this point I notice the line building up and I’m frustrated. I cannot count how many times I’ve ordered from this chipotle and I’ve always received excellent service and food. But after my experience with this girl I will not be returning ever again! I would suggest management put competent customer service members at the register who have common sense to 1. Explain why a policy is in effect, and 2. Know NOT to turn away paying customers.

When you a pay a fee for it to be delivered to you ( not high delivery rate really $7 ) but, to not get very much meat in my burrito ($8 for a burrito) surprised me. I’ve always heard good things about Chipotle. It was our first time...... not sure we’ll make a second. I think I might stick with Tijuana Flats. Never had a bad meal there with plenty of meat. Just surprised as a first time meal.
