Gelataio

Very good gelato! Tried pistachio, hazelnut, cookie and cream, and Nutella. All amazing, but Pistachio was my favorite! Many pieces of pistachio, tasted like pistachio and was not too sweet! Love it! My husband is a lover of cookie n’ cream and he said it was the best one he ever tried! Definitely will come back! Happy to find a great gelato shop! 😋

Best artisan ice cream in Palo Alto! Insanely smooth and perfectly milky. You can tell from taste that they use QUALITY milk. Also, the chocolate they drizzle on top isn't waxy! Love the cozy enviroment- it's never crowded. I highly reccomend the Hazelnut Ice Cream and the Pistachio Ice Cream (really). This place is very good with crafting their nut flavours. If you're lucky, you'll find chunks of nuts inside. The nutty flavor really comes through! Sampling is allowed so definetly take advantage of that! Only downside is the wooden spoons! :D (Look adorable but tastes quite woody. Leaves itches on tounge.)

5 stars for the quality and taste. But 1 star for the lady who works here. She is always rude. I have been coming to this place for years. Even my friends and family have had similar experiences. We try to be extra polite with her still she is always frustrated and disengaged. On contrary when students work at the shop they are always warm, welcoming and we have always had nice experiences with them. One of the best places for high quality ice cream in the entire bay area. Owner should do something about making the experience better. Most low ratings are the one inclined towards that lady who works here.

Love this place. Their gelato are so good. I love that you can choose multiple flavors per size (the larger, the more flavors to choose). I ordered the small called picolo and got 2 different flavors. You also have option of getting dark or milk chocolate hard topping. My whole family loved our gelato!
