Tea Time

If you like tea, have some time you want to spend with some friends or family, and love tasty food, this is the place for you. I only got a 2-item meal (tea sandwiches and the delicious scone with clotted cream, lemon curd, and berry jam). One friend got a full English tea on a multilayer tray set, very fancy. Lots of food options ranging from salads to petit fours, lots of tea options including herbal options, really fancy leaf tip teas, teas with or without milk. If you want to bring any home, you can buy a small bag of tea leaves.

They have a nice outdoor set up that provides nice shades, Ramona street was closed to car traffic. It's a fun outting, not a place to go for the food but for the experience. They do give a lot of food though overall, many tiny things, one would not leave the place hungry. The start of the service was slow, but probably because they seemed really busy and maybe even short staffed for the # of customers they had. Once the service started things moved along at a nice pace. We didn't feel rushed and was able to enjoy the weather and tea. Staff were nice and grateful for the business.

Had a nice time. Enjoyed the teas immensely. We had a lemon, Jasmine, and an English Breakfast. Lunch started with a salad and 2 appetizers. Then there was a warm scone with clotted cream, lemon and a jam. There were four finger sandwiches each: Fig, Chicken Salad, Egg Salad and a Cream Cheese (Barely any cream cheese on my sandwich). The fruits were strawberry, apple and a couple of orange slices. We also got a very large Russian Tea cookie or a Mexican wedding cookie. It has a variety of names, but it's still the same powder sugar cookie. It took a while for the meal to come out; but we each received a complimentary slice of lemon cheesecake to take with us. Nice settup outside restaurant on the closed street. And parking at the Civic Center garage a half block away was quite convenient. I wish the air quality was better, we would have stayed longer. Will come back again soon.

This is the cutest little tea shop! The decor is cozy without being overbearing and cluttered, and the staff is attentive and so nice. Take time and smell the great selection of teas- butter truffle, Emporer's 7 treasures, and Japanese Cherry are particularly delightful. Do yourself a favor and do Afternoon Tea at this charming place.

I've been meaning to visit for a while, but I happened to be walking by recently so I decided to try one of the boba drinks offered here (not their usual fare). The tea was top notch as expected, and the rest of the drink was good too (although it could have done with less ice). Definitely still looking forward to trying the tea service here. Note that the boba drinks here use agar boba ("crystal boba") instead of traditional tapioca boba. I actually thought it paired very well with the tea flavor in the house milk tea.
