South Ocean Grill

South Ocean Grill is a delight! I really love being able to dine off Main Street as it gets a bit busy so on this evening, my family and I needed a bite to eat as we had a relative in hospital. We were all very sad and hungry and fortunately they had a table for all 5 of us! Our waitress was so attentive, friendly and courteous (I forgot her name) but the food was amazing and came out quickly! The atmosphere there is perfect for intimacy and cozy. We shared appetizers and each got a main dish, we also indulged in some desserts. I would recommended but also encourage reservations as the space is small and gets busy! My only suggestion is that they should branch out, get a better bar area and please become a bit more accessible to those who need it!

South Ocean Grill truly knows how to excel in both food and service. The mussels were a succulent seafood delight, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, flaky and full of flavor. However, what truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff at South Ocean Grill was not only attentive and knowledgeable but also went the extra mile to make our dining experience exceptional. Their warm and welcoming approach elevated our meal, creating a perfect balance between delectable cuisine and impeccable service. This restaurant is a must-visit for those seeking both extraordinary food and a memorable dining experience. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning for more of their incredible dishes and top-notch hospitality.

Jan, 2023 - If you have the opportunity to get the bone in prime rib for two (usually a special) GET IT !!! Definitely one of the best I've ever had ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ________ 2022 update....5 years since my last review and I must say, South Ocean grill is better than ever! Quality, taste and dining experience just gets better over time. After dinner go for a short walk to the docks that overlook the bay. ________ Family owned and operated... excellent food and service. Last night had the prime rib special and it was phenomenal! It's definitely one of our favorite restaurants.

Came here for the restaurant week special with hubby and friend on a Tuesday night. Parking is actually in lot on the side street behind restaurant. Wouldn't advise heels as it is gravel. Tight squeeze for SUVs and trucks. Restaurant was very quaint inside and really quiet which made casual conversation awkward at first until the volume picked up. 1 out of 3 of us chose the restaurant week menu due to choices but food all around was pretty delicious. Drinks were good and would definitely come back for a date night!

We dined here during LI restaurant week, but have eaten here and ordered take-out in the past. The food is always excellent and my favorite is always the mushroom, spinach, caramelized onion, goat cheese flatbread. It is a small, quaint restaurant which never disappoints. Helen, our server was very professional and had a very easy-going attitude. What surprised me was that they had a restaurant week menu with two price points.

This is a very cute, trendy, little grill off South Ocean Ave! There is limited outdoor seating and I only saw one table with an umbrella. However, I enjoyed eating outside and did not experience a wait at 1230pm on a cloudy Saturday. Our sever Anthony was very nice. I ordered the seared ahi tuna salad. It was magnificent! The portion was very generous and the dish was flavorful. My friend ordered the kale salad with chicken and was also happy with her meal. What a little gem! Cannot believe I have not been here before.
