Swell Taco

Finally; real Mexican food on the East Coast! We're originally from Southern California, and this is the first Mexican place we've been to that actually tastes like Mexican food. The motif was just a bonus (wasn't expecting the familiar, local beach names on the booths!). You guys are doing the Lord's work over here.

Menu and staff are very polite I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted and given a menu and then was ask if I needed anything while i was reviewing. Prices are a little higher than usual but that is the location. But food is amazing definitely a regular place to come everything is done very nice here. The atmosphere is so gentle and kind. All the staff seems to be very positive and polite. I felt welcomed into this place and the music was amazing some nice laid back throwbacks. It was low lit and a great place to come out and enjoy some food any night. There drink menu was vast. They have margaritas, rum cocktails, sangrias, and alot of tequila options. They have a nice selection of beers. I loved how they had skate videos playing on the TV behind the bar amazing. The art a decor was awesome aswell I love the surf and chill vibe that it gives off creates a safe space for people to relax and have a nice drink. My server Matt was also very nice he was very polite and added a nice energy to my stay at taco. And the back and outdoor seating was amazing. A beautiful mural and nice rustic benches great for a nice summer night. I definitely recommend SWELL TACO.

Taco Tuesday had us at Swell Taco for their food offerings tonight. Pulled Pork & Guac Nachos are really good, and the buffalo chicken & shrimp tacos and chicken salad in large taco bowl sealed the deal. Attentive staff checked in during our meal, but not overbearing. Good atmosphere and worth the trip imho.

Love that they brought the west coast vibes to the east coast. You feel like you're in California when you're in the restaurant. Restaurant is super low key and chill. I got the "3 amigos" which is shown in the pics. Steak, shredded chicken, and fish. The fish taco was out of this world. Really well priced for all natural, amazing tacos! Would definitely recommend to a friend!
