Momiji Sushi & Hibatchi

The place tasted fine but the other sushi restaurants taste a little better to me. The sushi came as 5 pieces which I found to be a little underwhelming for a $13 roll. Some of them are advertised as 10 piece rolls but I didn't know the one I got was going to be just FIVE. If I wanted sushi and I was in town I'd go here but only because the other good sushi places are not in pendelton. If shiiki or kobe were here instead of hermiston I would never come here again. That being said the service was really good. Edit: it was an $11 roll not a $13 one

This place is a gem. You wouldn't know from the outside or really the inside that you are getting top dollar sushi but truly it was delicious. Presentation was beautiful. The veg yakisoba wasn't all that great but sushi is where it's at there! The tempura amazing tuna roll was so good we ended up getting a second roll! The spring rolls were delicious as well. Nice server and good family atmosphere.

The most incredible Japanese dishes I've ever eaten! Nothing tops their teriyaki, and I find myself craving their miso soup so often that I'm starting to think they put something super special in it to make it so freaking good!! The atmosphere is so relaxing, the staff are so polite, and everything is so clean! Definitely my favourite restaurant of all time, out of every city and state I've ever visited.

Pros: -Good quality sushi and rolls. A monthly favorite for me. -Consistent quality (try the caterpillar and scorpion rolls). -Wide menu, including grilled non-sushi options for fussy eaters. -Weekday lunch deals. Cons: -$$$ -Few nigiri/sashimi entree options. Mostly a la carte, more $$$. -Not a descriptive menu. Seriously, it's a roll of the dice until you try most things. Luckily they taste good.
