Tannins & Hops Speakeasy

Well, we know we never need to come here again. Stopped in on a Wednesday night for dinner and was met with no server and thus no menu. No mention of that on Facebook updates or elsewhere. Decided to sit down for a drink and was served a $9 Bell's Oberon. Insane for Peoria prices. We left quickly and went down the road to the Blue Duck where we got the same beer for $5 and amazing food. Save yourself a trip and don't visit Mack's.

Went with a group of friends for a birthday. The bar was severely understaffed but the waitress was more interested in attending the bar than the tables. Took over 1 hour to get food (not exaggerating); saw waitress once and had to go to bar to get more drinks. To finish the night, the owner came up and scolded our group regarding our frustrations about the service. They seem like they need to figure something out regardless of how new they are. Not to mention, they did not have true media on the majority of TV’s. Mostly screens that said “continue playing” like it was YouTube. I want to like this place but currently do not recommend for food or service.
