Bullpen Bar & Grill

This place has gone downhill from what it was a few years ago. The last three times we’ve been there we have had bad experiences. This last time, I took forever for our waiter to get back to us when the restaurant/bar wasn’t even that busy. We also priced their menu is very small now and their prices are outrageous for what you get. I paid $20 for 12 small regular deep fried bar wings. I figured paying that kind of money you’d be getting some smoked full size wings. Not at all. They didn’t have a kids menu so we had to order my 3 year old an adults meal, and my wife’s meal was also way overpriced. The time before that our waitress was stoned out of her mind. For some reason she thought she could listen to our order and remember everything we ordered without writing it down. Immediately after she left we all mentioned how she smelt like she just got out of a hot box and knew our order was going to be messed up. Once the food came out she forgot to order someone’s food and 2 other people got something totally different. The location of this place is great and the potential this bar has is even better but that really starts with management and employees.

I wish I could give half a star, but I went to the Bullpen for dinner and everything was okay. I was greeted after sitting for only a few minutes. As I was waiting to order my food 2 decent sized roaches ran across the bar counter. I was so disgusted that I left the establishment. Nothing worse than worrying that I might have bugs in my drink or roaches in my food.

Charged cover charge for UFC but didn’t start the main card until after the first three fights. Watched the kitchen staff get into a brawl with the wait staff. I guess that was the replacement fights. Gonna look for other places to watch UFC from now on this was the second time they failed to start the fights on time.

A great place to go for sporting events, especially. We enjoyed watching away Bradley basketball games here. Was a great atmosphere to watch their NCAA tournament run this year. Great for groups. Good beer selection. Very good “bar food”. Mac n cheese bite appetizer is great. Crowd can get a little “sketchy” after dark on the weekends. Overall a great place to hang out for drinks and/or sports!

Tried to stop in for a bite and a drink but when I got there about almost 6:00 I was told that the seats were reserved for the fight tonight and that I would have to vacate the seat when time was approaching for the fight.
