Stickybeaks Playground Cafe

Reading all the other reviews for here we must have just struck it on a bad Monday when the two male staff members just didn’t want to be there… Food is definitely not the greatest - muffin was dry (you have to ask for butter) and no sauce for the hot chips for the kids. Stupid system where they give you a buzzer for the food - but yell out when your coffee order is ready. Not good if you don’t hear them yell - or the kids are playing. However the kids playground is great - next time will just buy food elsewhere and take it there.

Older man taking orders there today (02/07) is really bringing this Cafe down. Demonstrated no customer service ability and was blatantly rude to customers, especially to the young lady ahead of me whose first language wasn't English. I'd recommend families come and enjoy the park but avoid this Cafe, bring your own food and drinks.

We have gone to this park and dropped by the Cafe for eleven years, the kids love it and I am happy to get them some chips or an icecream. The young staff are always accommodating and sweet with the kids. It would be great if they got a vegan dish or vegan cake so I could eat something too which is not chips. (I have really bad allergies and need to eat vegan, so I can't just choose to eat whatever to make it easy)

Shame the service was absolutely terrible because its such a great family friendly spot but i wont be going back in a hurry. The man taking orders either needs to get a reality check or retire. The way i saw you speak to customers and my friends was disgusting- and even you're own staff. You are rude, arrogant and completely lack customer service and respect towards others. I'd rather bring my own coffee to that playground then give you my business again.
