My brother, in his 50s said the fish was as good as he had ever tasted (and he holidays regularly in Whitby so knows his cod). Large Cod, great value too.

Best fish and chip shop anywhere in the world! They stayed open to cook us lunch and gave us free homebaked doughnuts while we waited!

Lovely pleasant people at Gunthorpe Fish Bar, the location is a bit out of the way but well worth finding and visiting. Food is cooked fresh and doe's not take many minuets waiting. Place looks clean and tidy, parking also good. Prices are very reasonable too! - Very much deserving of five full stars!

Was recommended this place so was a bit apprehensive at first as not a big fan of fast food.but full marks 10/10
Had large chips between 2 of us and was plenty of them large fish pineapple fritters and sausage. Was not disappointed the food was lovely reasonably priced hot and very polite staff 👍👍
Ended up going back the following week lol
