My husband is Trinidadian and he says this is the best roti he's ever had. I have to agree - everything is fresh, succulent and tasty. A very pleasant surprise in downtown Peterborough. It's more of a takeout place but there are a few tables.

Amazing as always. We have been coming for years and it is always impresses. Great portion sizes for very reasonable prices. We are big fans of the Jerk Chicken dinner and the lamb roti. Make sure to check them out!

Ordered the jerk dinner but was only given 2 pieces of dry overcooked chicken that had been slathered with some kind of store bought BBQ sauce. Not authentic jerk chicken at all. I have eaten jerk all over North America and this was by far the worst I have ever eaten. I really wanted to love this place and support a local eatery but I am very disappointed. Restaurant owner also has a poster of Mohammed’s last statement to the muslims hung up that is addressed to only Muslim men and speaks of women like property which also rubbed me the wrong way but I could have overlooked that if the food was at least good.

Avoid the Jerk Chicken dinner. Total rip off. Three pieces with minimal to no meat and all bones.
I have had a Roti there and it was good but pricey. The Jerk Chicken ended up being minimal chicken and lots of rice and beans.
Better to take your business elsewhere.

5 star reviewers are on crack! Worst "jerk" chicken I have ever tasted. If you mixed sweet bbq sauce and cayenne pepper that's their jerk. Terrible value $11.75. Half your meal is a pound of mushy rice. Curry goat and beef are flavorless. Waited over half an hour for take out on a Tuesday! And what kind of idiots put cold coleslaw in the same container as the hot food? How this place stays in business is beyond me.

I enjoyed the food here, but thought the entrees were a bit rice-heavy and could have had a bit more meat and sauce for the price. I would eat here again. The dinners are a good Gluten-Friendly option.

Absolutely phenomenal, this is my standby here in town. No photograph could ever describe the scents and tastes from Island Cream. Terrific prices, excellent service, food you can't stop thinking about!! Tip: get a jar of their hot sauce, it makes everything I make at home taste so much better - and also makes me long to come back here for more, win/win!
