Swiss Chalet

Yesterday I was there at swiss chalet. Was leaving and fell in parking lot between 530/6pm. You need to get that parking lot fixed. My knee is all scraped up. My left hand bruised. You definitely need to get the parking lot fixed . If it would have been a senior with a walker be worse. Please get your parking lot fixed.

Went to peterborough Landsdown location was 720pm was informed close at 8 pm like on a Friday night wow but we were only going for soup perogies and fries so be fast the chicken soup i usually love tonight was disappointing first was luke warm so we sent both back server went and got us hot fresh bowels from the take out side worst soup I have ever ordered it had bones in it , veins all through the meat was awful my hubby's was fine I could not eat it i told the server she took almost whole bowel away fries perogies were ok was ticked that they charged me for the soup which was still full will be a while i order from there again worst

Either you like Swiss Chalet or you don't. We do. If you were born & raised in Canada, you've probably been to one at least a few times. If you're a newcomer to Canada and like chicken, give 'em a try. I really liked this particular location. It hasn't been updated to the newest styles, which tend to be a bit more cold in ambiance. I preferred the older retro look & feel this location had. Has a 70s -80s feel to it. When we arrived I looked along the south wall, which was solid windows and wooden blinds, with booths all along the wall. Looked like a diner from an old movie. We sat in one of those booths, overlooking the parking lot which is surrounded by trees on the west and south sides, which made the dining experience pleasant. The food was good, the usual Swiss Chalet taste, and reasonably priced (we had a coupon, lol). The waitress was pleasant and knew some history of the restaurant (this Swissy was about 40 years old) as she had grown up in Peterborough and remembered what used to be there before this Swiss Chalet opened. I dunno...it was one of my more pleasant dining experiences of late. I loved the location and I'll be back. I felt like I had found a hidden gem. To the owners of this location, if you ever read this review, PLEASE!, keep this location's retro look & feel.

Tried to order online. Wouldn't work. Tried to call the number proveded. Server error and I got cut off. Tried to call the store. Need an extension, but the website doesn't give an extension. No way to just get through to someone. Was going to leave a message, but need a mailbox number. It's like they don't even want any business.
