Ricky's All Day Grill

Stopped in for lunch with my kids. My daughter had the kids burger, I had the Califresh Salad, and my son had Prawn Fettuccine Alfredo. Service was prompt and very friendly, the food was fabulous! Added dessert. The berry crisp was to die for! (There were prawns in the picture but he had inhaled half his dish by the time I took the photo)

Stopped here an hour before closing on the way home from the Kawarthas. It wasn't very busy, but the hostess welcomed us warmly and had us seated with drinks in short order. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak and a burger. Wow. The best of both we have ever had. Tasted great, filling, sides of gravy and au jus with fries were fantastic. Cheap local Public House pints ($5) and endless diet coke. It came fast and was honestly the best sandwich I've had in a long time. The server (Mellissa) was so nice and chatted with us about the establishments history when asked, our travels, and her time working there. I asked her to please tell the chef how much we liked the food and she smiled so genuine. More places need to be like this. I also noted the classics menu which was every comfort food I grew up with. This is the only one in Ontario, and I'll be making a point to return.

First time going to this restaurant with my family and I was not impressed at all. They weren't that busy and still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated because the hostess was running around doing other things. We were finally sat and again had to wait for the waitress to come to our table. Finally order our food and had to wait over an hour for it and was never checked on until 3 minutes before receiving our food. Get our food and was told they were out of sausage and gave us bacon instead. The bacon is so greasy that it's dripping off. We did not feel valued as a customer whatsoever. People who arrived after us were served before us. Worst experience at this place and unfortunately will never go back.

Two words: Chicken and Waffles. The best north of New Orleans! You won't be disappointed!! My only negative is the tables are far too close to each other. I don't need to hear the entire conversation of our neighbors. Other than that, the menu is diverse and equally delicious. The Servers genuinely show attentive care in their service. Will most definitely return!!

Food was adequate - my son had the kids burger and fries, my wife had the chicken finger meal (great value) and, myself, had the classic clubhouse. All were adequate, not exceptional, not terrible, but better than a Boston Pizza. Service left much to be desired. Waitress had no clue. Forgotten food items, not clearing plates, no condiments before the meal came out (first red flag.) Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Would return again.
