Update in 2021: you MUST try their bolangnase... tiny bit spicy and so delicious. A gem of the Central MA area; the amount of professionalism and attention to detail is blinding! Great homecooked food as well as a lot of nostalgia for a country/general store; I wish I lived a bit closer to go more often; excellent local beer and wine selections!

Ari deserves 6 stars. It's a great place to catch a bite, coffee and a pastry, or just stock up on groceries. So far, it is the best run country store I have encountered. Petersham is a lovely, classic New England village, as well.

Excellent pre-made food! We had the sandwich wraps and garden salad. The garden salad was plenty for two people and had quite a variety of vegetables. They also have some nice locally made alpaca socks, hats, etc.

A New England treasure! Sandwich selections are tremendous and very creative. An eclectic selection of items always. The area around the store, the town common is beautiful. A great destination for a motorcycle or sports car ride.
