Pietro's Coal Oven Pizzeria

Went for a friends birthday. Had reservation for 8 people. I definitely recommend a reservation, as tables are hot!! Price was higher since we got bottles of wine, apps, and dessert. Definitely an energetic ambiance- erring on the side of loud. Love the interior and I felt like I was in Italy. Excellent service, very good food. Would come again. Everyone was celebrating birthdays too!

Back in Philly for a couple of days as my wife was attending a workshop at Temple and the workshop dinner was at this sweet Italian place in Rittenhouse Square. Had the salmon entree it was great! Their Martini was just amazing, had 3 of them! The eggplant aperitif and pizza were very good! Service was as expected, top draw and we all had a really nice time. We usually try to stay away from Italian, French restaurants as they are too bland for our South Asian taste buds but this place.. This place is an exception! Probably my first all around 5 star European restaurant review. Well done Pietro 👏

The food was delicious! Our Server Enheleda (Keda) was very friendly and recommended very good meals. She definitely made up for our first experience, when we entered. We called before and asked how long they are open today. The Lady on the phone said the last seating is at 8:30pm. When we arrived the Hostess Alexandra looked at her watch and seemed like she felt we were coming in too late- it was 8:20pm. She said "oh i guess you are the last people to be seated" - that was not a nice and friendly welcome-, we did not feel welcome at first. But the food and the service was amazing that we will be back for sure.

Pietro’s is awesome! This is the second time I’ve been and once again, the experience was terrific. They have a good selection of GF pasta (no warm pillowy bread in GF but the regular bread was phenomenal. I also had one of the best cocktails-some gin, lemon concoction and the Aperol Spritz was pretty decent too. OMG the risotto balls are my new guilty pleasure!
