Fantastic Whoopi pies, certainly some of the best I’ve ever had, though I’ve never had any that weren’t store bought until today. I ordered 2 which I believe is “enough” since they are small relative to most Whoopi pies I’ve had in the past. I enjoyed the original, but I think I liked the “whoopwich” better. I’ll probably end up back there again before the end of the week.

Today I had the pleasure of sampling Elizabeth Halens “bars”. S’mores, pecan pie, butter cake and lemon to name a few. I COULD NOT stop eating these bars. Decadent only partially describes these delicious creations. They were so damn good. I wanted to stop at one taste but I just couldn’t. The lemon bar with the buttery crust was my favorite but I have to say the gooey butter cake was running a very close second. Then there was the homemade Graham cracker crust on the s’mores bar….. I could go on and on. You’ll just have to try them for yourselves. Decadent and delicious. A real treat! Thank you Elizabeth. I’ll be thinking about your lemon bar for a long time.

I'm a lyft driver and one of the employees was my passenger. He gave me a box of cookies which was very nice. The cookies are delicious. I'm definitely going to go to the establishment to purchase some more items. I don't like chocolate chip cookies but these have just the right amount of chocolate chips. Not over powering at all

Flying Monkey is a staple of Reading Terminal. Their whoopie pies are famous and a must have for a visit here. However, quality control seems to have gone slightly downhill in my opinion. For our visit last weekend, we ordered a classic whoopie and a Guinness whoopie, a chocolate and a cheesecake brownie, and a lavender and rose cupcake. Unfortunately, we received two classic whoopies instead of the Guinness, but it was so busy and we weren't upcharged so it was not a big deal. The rose cupcake was pretty good. The flavors weren't too strong, and the brownies were rich and delicious. The whoopies were average, but the cake was very moist. The problem we had with the food was the lavender cupcake. The flavors were so overpowering it tasted super soapy and unpleasant. Luckily the cake was good so we scraped off the frosting and enjoyed the rest, but it was dissapointing. My issue with our last visit comes to the service. As we were ordering we were rushed through our selection because we ordered more than two things. All of our items were also shoved into one small box and taped together, and after opening it there was no way to properly re-close the box because of this, and it caused some of our items to be squished. We asked them for another box to separate the items since my mom and I were not returning to the same places but instead the man behind the counter aggrivatingly handed us small paper bags instead. It was frustrating, but not the end of the world. It was just midly dissapointing with this situation and then the instances with the taste of the food.
