Maggie's Waterfront Cafe

I been to Maggie's several times. Once to win tickets from a radio station. A few times to stop in for lunch and then today for a large group of 20 family members to enjoy a lunch right after Christmas. We order multiple appetizers, decent selection of food throughout the menu. All the food was great. The staff was helpful and fast for a larger group. But what I enjoyed most was seeing them accommodate my non verbal autistic son. I went to log my son into the Internet on his iPad to help him stay calm. We will there 1.5+. To my surprise they didn't have a guest wifi. Which is something I would suggest the owner gets in the future. However a manager came over and plug in a password for my son, knowing his struggles are a little different. This treatment really made a good impression on me and I will visit again. Food price was reasonable.

I enjoyed my experience at Maggie's overall, the quality of the food that was available when I arrived was very good, I was well attended to by servers. The kitchen closes too early for main courses in my opinion, I came expecting to get dinner but the kitchen closed at 9 and only appetizers and what was described as "bar food" was available. The layout of the restaurant was strange and difficult to navigate. During the summer they have a large outside seating area that overlooks the Delaware River in an attractive setting. And, if you dig it, they play both kinds of music, Country and Western!

I have been hesitant to try this spot, but I’m glad I did stop by and try it for my parent’s anniversary. The calamari sicilian was fantastic and the seafood alfredo was creamy and delicious as well. As for the steak, it didn’t really have a flavor. One of my sides came out cold and hard, but the waitress was sweet enough to run back and get me something else instead. Although she was taking care of so many other people, she was able to take care of us in a timely matter. I didn’t catch her name, but she was sweet. I had a great experience here, I will definitely be back.

This place has an appetizer called Bronze Shrimp. You have to try it. Large shrimp in a brown spicy sauce with a small loaf of fresh made bread for dipping. They also have a blackened Scallop appetizer in a red sauce. It was good but doesn't compare to the Bronze Shrimp. I'm always a little skeptical of Scallops when they are all the same size and round. The flavor and texture were also off. They were good and the sauce was good but my advice, go with the Bronze Shrimp. My wife had the Fish & Chips, which was three large pieces of fried Cod. She didn't want the fries, so she got a baked potato. She picked green beans as her side, which looked good but lacked any flavor. A dinner salad also comes with it, and the salad and ranch dressing was good. The Cod and tarter sauce were great. We had a great waitress, and the rest of the staff appeared to be as good. It is located across the street from the river and has good views. All in all, we would recommend this place and we will definitely eat here next time we are in town.

Why haven’t we ever been here!!! Mussels in White Wine Garlic 😋 Seared Scallops with Cocojito and Moscow Mules for starters! Them Seafood Diablo!! 😋I think 🤔 we are going to start a food review blog!! Dana our server was the sweet, attentive and gave great recommendations for us first timers. We will definitely be back!!

In close proximity to family, Maggie’s is one of my favorite places to eat. And it’s a great place for any occasion. The first time we went there it was for appetizers after dropping the kids off at my in-laws. Then we were there for a 21st birthday party. Then we went there with family for dinner. They have nights with live bands, several TVs for sports, and banquet hall space upstairs for baby showers and more. Even with reservations, there was a 15 minute wait, but it was worth it. The burgers are amazing! They just melt in your mouth! And the fries are famous for a reason. My kids say they are contenders for any fast food they have had, and that’s saying a lot coming from them. And the seafood - I always get something with seafood and have never been disappointed. I have actually never ordered drinks there, but they look good! The staff is very friendly, helpful, and prompt. I highly recommend Maggie’s if you are looking for a place to hang out with friends or family or just a date night. It’s also on my list if I ever need a spot for an event in Philly.

I recently hosted my baby shower at Maggie's Waterfront Cafe. The word "perfect" is the only word I would use to describe the entire day. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the event. During the setup, they came up to me multiple times to ask if I needed anything to drink or if they could lean in and help out in any way, which was incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. I am a detailed-oriented person, which can be off-putting to most, but the event coordinator, Charlene made sure that everything met my expectations. She went above and beyond to ensure that every small (and large) detail was thoughtfully executed. I would have the baby shower of my dreams. I am appreciative of the flexibility and care provided to my family and me throughout this event. I know we will be returning to Maggies for many more future family celebrations. Thank you for making my day so memorable and exceptional!
