Mifflin Tavern

Mifflin Tavern is all around one of the best spots in Philly. I have brought many different friends here and it’s always a great time. Every food item I or a friend has ordered from the menu has been a home run. Great portions and prices - everything you expect from your local neighborhood tavern! They make seasonal changes to the food menu which is awesome and switch up the drink menu too! On top of the great food? Live music!! Typically Thursdays - Sundays (you can visit their Instagram for schedules/details) - and in the summer you can even hear the music from the outdoor streetery seating. The people of and at Mifflin are always having a good time and it’s great to spend my time and money at a place like this.

This place checks off all the boxes. Great staff, great atmosphere and great prices. One of the few places that I will change my schedule or go out of my way for. Today I decided on the Cheesesteak Quesadilla and House Fries served with Spicy Ketchup and Chipotle Mayo. If you are ever in South Philly do not I repeat DO NOT hesitate to stop in! Tell them Bubba sent ya!

Mifflin Tavern is such a cool spot, I’m not sure where to begin. They have a great assortment of mix drinks, the espresso martini is fire. The pierogies and chicken tenders wow. Regardless if I’m coming with the boys to watch a game or bring the lady out on a Friday night Mifflin is a good time. Go Birds!

Kelly, Mike, and the team couldn’t be better! The menu is killer (Korean broccoli & Thai cauliflower are my faves), the seasonal cocktails are fun, creative, and tasty, and the staff is as friendly as could be. Add in the near-nightly live music and you’ve got yourself the perfect neighborhood corner bar! Can’t recommend Mifflin Tavern enough!

Excellent place with excellent service. I’ve been coming here since the new management took over several years ago, and have always been impressed with their rotating cocktail and food menus. There’s always something new at Mifflin Tavern. Having said that, two menu items have been constant since first opening - the brisket cheesesteak and blackened chicken quesadilla. I highly recommend ordering both of these if it is your first visit to Mifflin Tavern. In terms of the cocktail menu, this changes more frequently, and as someone who frequents often, I know that the summertime drinks will be added soon. I’m personally a fan a of the fresh squeezed Orange crush that is crafted here, but the grapefruit crush is very refreshing as well. If you’re not one for a cocktail, Mifflin Tavern has rotating drafts that also change with the seasons - I believe 10 taps behind the bar. I guarantee there will always be something on tap even for the most casual beer drinker. 5/5 always recommend whether for a quick lunch on the weekend, a nice dinner during the week, the first stop of your day or the very last. This is a fantastic place to hang out with friends and also to bring your family.
