My go to bakery. Nothing like fresh baked bread, bagels and amazing tomatoe pie or slices. You can find Danish, crossaints, tea biscuits on Sundays only. I also get the bread crumbs, so much better than the ones from the market.

Awesome, awesome experience here and delicious tomato pie! We met the owner while we were eating our pie outside and he was incredibly kind and generous... it's obvious that he is well loved in this neighborhood and it's no wonder this place has been in business for so many decades. I will definitely be back here for a tomato pie fix the next time I come to Philly! Highly recommend.

The rolls and the tomato pie here are unbeatable. If you want quality, fresh, REAL bread this is the spot. Do yourself a favor - skip the grocery store and swing by NY Bakery if you’re in South Philly. Their bread is amazing and it’s nice to support a local, family-owned business.

The best tomato pie I’ve ever had! I’ve been eating it since I was 6 years old. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. The bread is awesome too. I’m born and raised in South Philly and always make a stop there when I visit. My children won’t eat any other tomato pie!

We purposely stopped here for the square tomato pie. No place to eat inside, so we got a half pie to go. It was served warm and was a bit more on the doughy side than I expected. There was no cheese (that I could see or taste), and the minimal amount of sauce had a good sweetness to it. A very good, unique neighborhood tomato pie! Definitely give it a try if you're stopping by New York Bakery!
