I have to say that I was very impressed for our first visit here. They were doing everything just about right, and this will definitely be a regular stop for us when we're in the neighborhood. One thing in particular stood out for us: The door guy! We where there on a busy Saturday night, and he was without a doubt the best door guy we've ever encountered at a bar. He really made the experience. First of all, he functions more like a host. He was very friendly, gave us options of seating etc. and accurate wait times, including giving us a heads up that the bartenders just got crushed with orders so it might be a couple of extra minutes. All of it was very much appreciated. Once inside the vibe was very cool, and the rest of the staff were also very much on top of it and super friendly. They all gave the place a great and fun vibe. We planned on just stopping in for a quick one, but ended up hanging out for a couple of drinks, mainly because of the bartenders. The drinks we had were really good, and the bartenders really knew what they were doing. We ordered a kind of deeper cut classic that wasn't on the menu, and they had no problem with it. They have a small but well curated and unique spirits selection. All in all, great job from start to finish, and we'll be back very soon.

Short wait for smaller group. Excellent bouncer/door person who made the wait a delight. Once you’re inside service is unbelievable. 4 instead of 5 stars JUST because of my personal preference of classic cocktails being alcohol forward instead of flavor forward. Their cocktails are fantastic: the only reason it’s 4 instead of 5 is my preference. I will gladly recommend this place to anyone! Come here. It’s worth the wait!

I *loved* this place. We were waiting for our table at Cheu next door and decided to slide in for a quick drink but, upon looking back, I wish we'd spent more time at Next of Kin! The bar is stylistically just up my alley, with a woody, classic elegance, but quite a contemporary style. I loved the clean lines and small elements of intention dispersed throughout. The bartender was SO warm and patient - answering questions, making recommendations, and then absolutely knocking it out of the park when it came to the drinks he prepared. We ordered the Clover Club and the Jungle Bird, both were smooth in texture and though they were strong, neither was extremely spirit forward. It was easy and tasty sipping at Next of Kin. I'll certainly be back!

Lived up to the hype for me! Loved the section of the menu with the experiment drinks (I think that's what they called them), both I got were seriously delicious! We had to wait maybe 5-10 min for a seat on a Friday night. So it gets crowded but was manageable. Atmosphere was great for a nice swanky night out.

This has become my favorite cocktail spot in Philly. We’ve been to Next of Kin a few times and every time the cocktails and service have been top-notch. The menu is well thought out and separated by each cocktails overall balance. I tend to choose the more spirit forward libations - and they are executed masterfully. They also make my favorite cocktail a Vieux Carre.

Really chill vibe. Cocktails are on point. They do have beers on tap. Music helps sets the atmosphere along with fun decor (check out bathroom). Great conversations while sitting at the bar watching the bartenders gunslinging. Definitely found my new pregame spot before a show. Looking forward to getting back.

Randomly walked into this place. Loving the vibe and drinks at this place. The bees knees, is indeed, the bees knees. Dirtyyyy martini. Dirty af. Those are the only drinks I had so I can’t speak to the others, but give this place a try. Lighting on point. Service on point. Music on point. Craft cocktails. I’m into it.
