A home in a the ground, center city drinking hole without pretensions an MD heart drink, if you don't mind the cigarette smoking. It's like a1986 throwback with the Stones playing in the background. A great place for nostalgia

It's a great bar! The kind I grew up with and always liked. Drink, smoke, joke, and then go home. I like it!

Awesome local dive bar that you can still smoke in and enjoy a drink! Lots of locals and regulars but are also very friendly and make it a fun atmosphere. The food, however, doesn't truly exist aside from hot dogs, which, as I was told before going don't have the greatest reputation.

This place is like going into a time machine. Enjoy a $4.75 pint of Guinness, light up a smoke and relax.

Went in for a beer after work and after five minutes it felt like I'd been going there for years. Cheap drinks, good people, great bar.

Not from Philly but our local friend wanted to take us because of the known reputation. Arrived around 12:30. Out of my first requested beer - but my 2nd panic choice was delicious. Out of hot dogs. Bartender shut off juke box promptly at 1am and called last call. After a bribe, she put one last song on and threatened that everyone must leave by the time it ended. Mama was tired. My jacket will smell like smoke for a week. 10/10 would recommend. We'll be back.

Survived the pandemic. Four stars as a true dive bar. Not the best place for a first date though lol. Also, if you're bothered by smoke not the best place for you.

A great little bar. If you want a quiet romantic atmosphere this is not for you but if you want a lively bar with a good selection of beers etc. at a very reasonable price then this is the place to go.

Downtown dive bar (as opposed to a neighborhood dive bar) that will prob never be fully gentrified.
Sometimes has dollar drafts, but the beer and liquor prices are cheap across the board. It’s a smoking bar.
Nice multicolored glass windows. It’s prob the best dive bar in the downtown area. The horseshoe shaped bar encourages people watching, and there’s always a few characters in there...
