Eatz On The Corner

We are in town for vacation and we were really looking forward to the food after all the reviews. We had two families and several small children so we ordered to go because it’s easier. We were told an hour when we called in which we thought was long but we were fine with waiting. They told us they would call when it was close to being ready. After an hour we called and were told it hadn’t even been started because they fulfill in-house customer orders first. This was not relayed to us initially. Are in-house orders more expensive than to-go orders? Why else would this occur? Anyways, we called back for a better explanations and we were told they started the order. Approximately 15 minutes later we received a phone call from the manager stating we were still the third order in line to be cooked. So after 1.5 hours our food had not even began to be cooked... obviously the reviews say it’s good but be cautioned when ordering to-go food and maybe pick some where that cares more about ALL of its customers!

What a place to find Island Southern fusion food. But wow was the food amazing. The shrimp and grits were phenomenal. Shrimp cooked and seasoned perfectly and the grits creamy and delicious. Even the chicken tenders has island flavor and cooked perfectly crisp. The sweet plantains were a great starter, so good! Definitely recommend Eatz.

Came in with our family and we all left with happy bellies. 9 of 12 of us ate a burger and loved it. Great service and love that it is black owned. You know the food is really fresh because we were the only ones there and it took a little while. I rather wait for my fresh food than ever eat food that is just heated up.

Food is always good, love the wings. There was a little problem, I asked if I could get all flats. The girl told me they couldn’t do that any more. I placed my order, 20 wings Calypso flavor. Got home and there are 18 drums and 2 flats. I love wings but am not a fan of the drum. 18 of them!! I think they did it on purpose.

We are here visiting from Florida and before we left Florida I researched restaurants for us to try., so Eatz was on our list. We prefer locally owned and different! Eatz on the Corner did not disappoint. Their food is full of flavor and some spice if you like. I ordered my dish mild and it was plenty spicy for me. The vegetables were incredibly fresh and has a ton of flavor. I also ordered a ginger hot tea which was delicious and freshly made. Support your local businesses and stop in here!

I came in with a large group of guys last Friday night, they greeted and welcomed us with open arms. The food was so good we told our waitress that we will be back the next night. We we went back the next night she was surprised. Amanda was our waitress both nights and she was wonderful. We will definitely be back.
