Beer Head Bar & Eatery

After a mishap at North Shore Tavern with a reservation, I was unable to get a table for my birthday. They suggested next door which happened to be the best thing possible that could have happened. I was incredibly stressed out and worried about the night I had planned with family from out of town would be ruined, but the incredible staff, food, and atmosphere were everything and more than I could have expected. Everyone including even the patrons helped celebrate my birthday and made it a night I will NEVER forget. I HAVE to shout out a team member in Devin though. From the moment I sat down he was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and kind. Devin is one of a kind and I would eat here again just to have him take care of me and my family again. PROMOTION!! RAISE!!! ANYTHING!!! Devin is top notch and if it were not for him and the rest of the incredible staff my birthday would have been a disaster. Thank you Devin and staff for a night that I will remember for many nights to come!!! FIVE STARS!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The food was also absolutely out of this world amazing as well!! Bravo to the chef and team!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

We were staying at a hotel a block away and decided to check this place out. I'm so glad we did! Their beer menu is over 30, small-print pages long!!! Thank goodness they'll give you a little taste of anything on tap, because it can really be hard to make a decision here with so many great options to choose from. A huge focus of Mike's is local beers and as someone in the process of moving to the area, I'm pretty excited to have so much more exploring to do. This is a place that could keep a connoisseur happy for years! We were there on a Wednesday evening and it was mostly empty. They're right across the street from Pirates stadium so I'm sure they're packed to the gills on game days. We sat out on the sidewalk, a perfect spot on an early fall day. Inside looks bright and spacious, although we never went in. Mike's shares a kitchen and a menu with North Shore Tavern, which is right nextdoor. We ended up going to North Shore to eat and the food was excellent, too.

Food was great , they couldn’t keep up with the people but we did finally get a table , thanks to the awesome women at the door !! Our waitress was amazing it took over a hour 4 food but she told us and was very good about it !! Food was very good 👍 as we were starving and made it to the concert just in time Thanks to the ladies

While not my usual fare, work expensed a Happy Hour for the lot of us whlie some members of the company visited from out of town. Mike's was the place we all stopped, and to be honest, I'm glad for it! Accommodating us was relatively easy, even with a dog in our party. Not to mention we all had our fill of food, and drinks, being provided to us readily. And of those drinks, I had quite the positive experience. Between an Apricot Mead, and a Grape Mead (read: Honey Wine with added grape as a flavor), I was absolutely impressed with the stock present. Not to mention the taste. Part of that may have been good judgement, as other people were impressed and enjoyed my drink choices for how good they were. But, I couldn't take credit for that without Mike's having them in the first place!

This is a great local place. I mean there are hundreds of beers from not just local places but national selection as well. The menu is always changing (both beer and food). The food is incredible and since it is always changing you can come here almost weekly and get a new dish that is incredible. If your are from out of town and on the North Shore near PNC park stop here. You won’t be disappointed at all.

Hands down the best Hot Stone Steak I have ever had in my entire Life!!!! I have tried several restaurants and steak houses and Mike's Bar Truly Has the Best Atmosphere and Staff to give you a dining experience you will never forget! The staff worked closely with me due to my food allergies to make sure I had an experience I will never forget. Food and Alcohol options for anyone with Gluten Allergy or Sensitivity!
