I don't even know if I need to write this review, this place is so ubiquitous and well loved by the local community! I remember when they opened and would bring their toddler around the restaurant, and it's so nice to still see them checking in on the business every now and then. It's clear that they take pride in the establishment and are happy to provide amazing food and great service to the local community. This will always be my absolute favorite breakfast spot in the North Hills!

Even though this place is a little bit on the pricier side, they give you huge portions, so it is definitely worth it. The pancakes are delicious and melt in your mouth, and the bacon is super thick cut. However, it was a little bit confusing because someone in my party got the same combo I got (eggs and bacon, which comes with pancakes) and they got four pancakes, whereas I only got three. We both got flavor pancakes; they got pumpkin, and I got chocolate chip. So I was assuming we would get the same amount of pancakes. Also, another thing I didn’t like, was the table was extremely wobbly and uneven the whole time, so it was constantly shaking around. But other than that, I would definitely recommend this place again!

Someone recommended this place to us and raved about it. So we checked it out last Saturday. We were really pleasantly surprised. This is a very underrated restaurant. We went for breakfast and everything we got was very good! We will definitely go back

This place is awesome. We visited PA for a Steelers game. The portions are hearty and flavorful. Service was attentive and informative. Definitely going back for that French Toast.

It was a typical diner atmosphere. Nothing fancy, nothing to blow you away, but also nothing to really complain about. Service was ok and you pay right at your table which I find convenient. I wish there were more options with veggies but I also get that's not really a sought after menu request for a pancake house. The spinach Benedict was yummy.

The Original Pancake House is a chain restaurant, but today was my first visit to one. Their signature items are the Apple Pancake and the Dutch Baby, which take up to half an hour to bake. Their menu lists many other types of pancakes, waffles, crepes, blintzes, omelettes, sandwiches, salads, etcetera. My husband and I ate breakfast here. The seating hostess could have had a warmer personality, but the waitress was very nice. We ordered a waffle, crepe, French toast, bacon, and orange juice. Everything tasted good. We particularly enjoyed the strawberry syrup. My husband commented that he thought that the prices were a little high.

First time hearing and eating at the original pancake house. The must try is the dutch babies. Worth the wait. The moment we sat down we ordered it first, then checked out the menu. Overall, regular breakfast joint. I ordered the ham and egg scrambler. It was hammy. But good not to be light on the ham. Would order another Dutch baby

My wife and I have been coming here for years. The food is outstanding and the options are so fun!! My favorite dish is the Irish Benedict and my favorite pancakes are the bacon pancakes. They are so good, I don't even use syrup. The Original Pancake House is a national chain, but both locations in the Pittsburgh area are locally franchised with their own menu. I recommend getting here early if visiting on a weekend unless you want to wait a long time for a table.

Absolutely fantastic place! This is my wife and I'd first time eating here. We have passed this place so many times, either going to giant eagle or anywhere else in the plaza, not realizing what a gem of a restaurant this is. The atmosphere is calming and inviting and all of the staff is friendly! The food is out of this world, especially for the price. We ordered the sausage breakfast special, and for $7.50, it's such a great meal for the price! The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed, the pancakes were fluffy and had a "homemade" taste to them, the sausage links were absolutely delicious, and the egg was cooked perfectly! The side toast was also great! The entire meal just felt like the most amazing home cooked meal that you could make. They followed social distancing guidelines and all staff wore masks! If you have ever wanted to try but have never made it in (as we had) PLEASE GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE! Thank you to everyone there, and thank you for such a delicious meal! We will be back!
