The Beehive Coffeehouse

This coffeehouse is just gorgeous- everything inside shines with neon local color- and the coffee is good. The decor really is incredible, from the little table nooks in the shop windows to the art hanging on the walls to the endearing bathrooms covered head to toe in kind graffiti messages. The colors are bright, beautiful, and distinct. The actual coffee is good- better than chain coffee like Starbucks for sure. And they have reusable cups and plates, which is great for the environment and really ups the professionalism and class. However, the array of pastries and savory treats is limited and they mostly come wrapped in cellophane, which looks bad and isn't eco friendly. On the whole, a wonderful, distinct local place to visit!

I had an iced mocha that was very delicious, though a little pricey. I thought there would be more food options there, but it was just a bunch of pre-wrapped bagels etc. There were some soup options. If you're looking for a made to order or fresh deli sandwich, this isn't the place. But if you are looking for a tasty iced coffee and wifi, this works.

Honestly the coffee isn't that great. 9/10 times would say the espresso is burnt but the atmosphere is great. Small coffee shop, eccentric decor, the coffeeshop equivalent of a yinzer bar. They don't mind if you come in and just work for a few hours -- I've always bought something when I've come in but I don't think they would notice if you didn't. If you are someone who wants clean, modern, and standardized, go somewhere else.
