Happy Home Buffet

Very glad ignored the mix reviews and gave this place a try after all, the parking lot was pretty full so I took a chance. The food was very fresh and hot, everything I tried was tasty and the servers were super attentive. There was someone out at the buffet keeping food rotated every time I went up to the buffet.

This is a buffet. It is right there in the name. Buffets offer bulk food options at the expense of quality control. It is unavoidable. Look at these one- and two- star reviews and imagine they were making the same complaints about an Old Country Buffet. I believe you will find that the majority of the detractors here are either totally ignorant to the concept of a buffet or have forgotten that they are dealing with one here. I have given five stars because Happy Home Buffet provides exactly the service it advertises, and does so very well considering how inexpensive it is to eat there. The quality of the food is perfectly sufficient and the quality of the service is acceptable considering the price you are paying. The staff is not there to serve you (except for pouring drinks), because you serve yourself. That is the point of a buffet. The staff's job is to manage the restaurant, restock the food, dishes, and silverware, and then stay out of your way until it is time to pay. If you want a gourmet meal, then you came to the wrong place. If you want servers catering to your every whim, then you came to the wrong place. If you want to be disrespectful while simultaneously expecting to be treated like royalty, you came to the wrong place. But, if you came here to shovel 20lbs of Chinese food into your face for a really good price, then you are in luck. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Great service!!!! Food was good as well. I was very hesitant to eat here because of all of the bad reviews, but I was blown away. This was honestly one of the best chinese buffets I've ever been to. So much to choose from and it was mostly great. Our waiter was constantly checking on us and provided service you only see at the best restaurants. I will most definitely be back.

I came here couple months ago w friend, the good was pretty good and fresh and it was only $10/person! Today I took my family here again, coz it’s the weekend so $15/person, but the menu was unbelievable, same the menu like before, plus lobsters, clams, shrimp, and Vancouver Crab!!! I've eaten at more Chinese buffets than I should probably admit to, but this one really hit the mark with both the selection as well as quality of dishes available. The stuffed tofu was delicious, as was the fish fillet in chili oil. Ingredients tasted fresh and were well cooked. Loved the dessert offerings, which were a great mix of Chinese and American. Pricing was amazing, especially for lunch, and I will definitely be returning!

An excellent new buffet! I've eaten here four or five times now and expect to return many more. Overall the food is excellent. I've tried almost everything and have no complaints. The Wellington is my favorite, but the roast chicken is delicious, as is the beef and pork. The sauces are well done - not as unauthentically sweet as most Chinese restaurants in America. For the kids, the Mac and cheese and French fries are really good for a buffet, and the chicken tenders will keep the timid full. But you must try the Wellington; you won't be sorry. I wonder about the few poor reviews I see. I suspect they're saboteurs who probably haven't even eaten here. And the price is quite reasonable for everything. And, NO, it doesn't cost $25 dollars with a soda, or even $20. If you aren't pleased by Happy Home Buffet, you probably just don't like eating out anywhere. It's every bit as good as Hokkaido; I prefer it. If you go, you'll go back.
