Sugar And Smoke

I got the sugar and smoke burger, the one with all the stuff on it. I was somewhat expecting the flavors to just blend together into a moosh of vague meats, but it actually works quite well together, and you can taste the pulled pork, brisket, and burger. The fries were excellent, as was the cole slaw. Even so, I would go for something with only one thing on it, like just pulled pork or just brisket so you can savor the flavors better. My friend got the chicken sandwich, however, and it was overcooked and dry with not much flavor. Always try to get the pork or beef, it seems to be a lot better. The service was also a bit slow, but we did come fairly late at night, so that's likely why. In addition, my friend forgot her wallet at the restaurant, and she called to see if they had it, but even only a couple minutes after closing time (we stayed until close since the food took a while to come out), and nobody answered the phone or responded to a knock on the door. We had to wait until tomorrow to get it back. Overall positive, though!

My boyfriend and I had lunch here for the first time and the food was really great! Anna was our server and she was very helpful with food suggestions. The food took a little while but we were in no rush and Anna made sure she checked on us frequently. I had the brisket sandwich and my partner had the fried chicken, both very delicious. Fries were cooked perfectly and the crab bisque soup as well as the house salad were also very good. All in all, a great first visit and we will definitely return.

Was about 30mins late to an 830pm reservation for 2, so my friend and I sat at the bar where they still allow you to order food. They ended up having an available table for us just 10mins after we arrived! All the staff were very nice (shout out to Roderick!) I loved the shrimp and grits. My friend got the pulled pork sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. She felt like the mac and cheese was a bit stale, but she did enjoy her main. It took a really long time for our food to come out which we felt was odd because it was late and the place wasn't as busy by then, but we weren't in a rush. Great experience overall, we will be back. Thanks!

The food was delicious! There were four in our party and we got two different appetizers and 4 different main dishes and all were fantastic. The servers were the best! Very helpful, lively, and attentive. They were very overwhelmed by the dinner rush and everything took a while to come out. They acknowledged they were taking longer than acceptable and gave us dessert on the house.

I love this place. The staff is amazing. My favorite appitzer is the fried green tomatoes. There is a slight sweetness to them that is almost indescribable. The brisket is juicy and full of flavor. As far as cocktails and dessert.... They definitely don't dissapoint. May I add once again that the staff is warm and welcoming. I will definitely return.😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

Man I love this place. The bartender was amazing, the food was amazing, the ambiance was great and food I mention the food was amazing. We got a chance to meet the chef too and he's a pretty cool guy as well. I ordered the salmon and my buddy ordered the brisket. Both were phenomenal. I'll definitely go back every time I make it back to Pittsburgh.

After church today we took our family of eight for brunch at sugar and smoke. We ordered just about everything on the menu and taste tested most items. We loved the brisket and hash, the shrimp and grits, the chicken and waffles, the crab omelette, and the triple chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was absolutely Delicious!!!! Yummy !!!!
