Donatelli's Italian Food Center

This was my first time in this unique Italian store right in the heart of our "Little Italy" area of Bloomfield. Such a nice place for all the imported and domestic foods! Lunch meats from Boars Head and Italian cheeses and meats are cut to order. Made daily...Italian hoagies, 24" for $8.99!!! Delicious! You can choose any hard cheese and they will grate it for you! That was a plus. The most friendly staff and service! Home made biscotti and a variety of cookies, pastas, and pastries! House made sauce & meat balls in the freezer, and a lot more! Yum! Definitely going to go back there!

They have cheap hot lunch items. The best is probably the sausage sandwich. They have fresh roasted coffee beans from local company Nicholas coffee roasters. All kinds of interesting unique items. Large deli with unique Italian meats and cheeses. Fresh baked bread. They'll make your a sandwich with anything from the deli. Eclectic collection of Italian food items. This is a great resource to have in my neighborhood and I'm glad it's here. They also have great pastry dessert items sfogliatella, tiramisu, lady locks, and other stuff. Milk, eggs, butter, everything a grocery store should have, along with unique and interesting Italian items. The only place in the neighborhood for fresh roasted whole coffee beans. During good weather they sell hot food items on the sidewalk. They'll have soft pretzels, hit dogs, sausage sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, and gnocchi. I can't remember the names of the other items I like since there are so many. Great place!

Excellent deli and hot foods are good but not great. Nice sized (1) pound fish sandwiches for 5.39 on Mancini's bread. Excellent frozen pasta and homemade sauces. Love their ricotta raviolis. Staff was NEVER ignorant to me and I'm a Black male, as I've been going here since the late 1980s and my mother longer as she worked at West Penn Hospital from 1980 to 2008. Paddy Cake Bakery and Donatelli's were her favorite Bloomfield spots overall... (R.I.P. Mom).

I love this place. They have a great selection of both fresh produce and bottled and canned goods. Not to mention their cheeses, meats, and desserts. Everytime I visit, I find something interesting. Today I bought a Christmas fruit cake. It's been a long time since I have had some. Looking very forward to it :-)
