Food For Thought

THAT SANDWICH WAS THE BOMB! HERE I WAS THINKING I WAS GOING TO GET THIS GIANT SANDWICH THAT HAD 6 TO 7 SLICES OF DIFFERENT LUNCH MEAT ON IT. THAT I WOULD BE ONLY ABLE TO EAT 1/2 OF IT, BECAUSE I WOULD BE LOADED. INSTEAD I GOT A SANDWICH THAT WAS THE SIZE OF MY 1 ✋ AND IT WAS THE BOMB! IT HAD! 6 DIFFERENT FRESH SLICE'S OF DELI LUNCH MEAT STARTING WITH BRISKET, TO ROAST BEEF CHICKEN AND THAT WAS THE 1ST 3 EATS. 3 MORE FLAVORS JOINED THE FIRST 3. TOP WITH FRESHLY MADE COLE SLAW ON LIGHT BROWN BREAD. WHEN I GOT HOME I TOP ALL THAT OFF WITH RANCH DRESSING. THE SANDWICH WAS FALLOWED UP WITH A FRESH BAG OF CHIPS AND THAT WAS TOP OFF WITH A FRESH SLICE OF ICED LEMON. POUND CAKE! HONESTLY IM READY TO REPEAT THAT AGAIN TODAY! THAT MY FRIENDS WAS A,A+++++++++++

Absolutely Incredible. I've been going to this place for a couple of years now because of the delicious food and the amazing staff. Today is the 11th anniversary of my brother's death and it left me sick to my stomach. I decided I needed my comfort food (mish mash soup & a ginger ale). When I went to check out, the owner rang me up and my card declined twice, I asked to take off the ginger ale and the total was still more than what I had in cash. The owner told me not to worry about it, he knew I was a regular and would be good for my money the next time I was in. This incredible act of kindness has me crying as I leave this review. These people have incredibly sweet and genuine souls and I will continue to come here and bring my family and friends for as long as I can.

My wife and I came into the Burgh for a family celebration. I was charged with the catering detail. Why not put an out of state family member from New York in charge of the most important detail. So many establishments to choose from. We we hit the nail on the Boarshead in selecting “Food for Thought”. We had a deli/sandwich/salad spread for 30. We were supplied with everything we needed to unload and dig in. Bob understood our needs and delivered. Not to the house per se, although I believe they would have! We arrived ahead of schedule and willingly scarfed a couple of breakfast Sammy’s to boot. I would highly recommend Food for Thought for your “deli style” catering event or catch a bite on premises. The place is clean, busy and the friendly staff is welcoming & anxious to help! I do love that when it comes to my eateries.
