I'm Puerto Rican, and this place exceeded my expectations. Yvette and Victor make you feel like family. The food is delicious.
Flavor of PR has a lunch counter vibe, and they have a party room available for rent too.
Our faves so far are the chuleta frita (porkchop) and the pastelillos (empanadas). The bistec encebollado isn't traditional, but my husband loved it. I was too busy eating the oh so fresh salad and the flavorful habichuelas to try the bistec so I'll get it next time.
My only wish is that the white rice was more traditional; it has a mass produced taste that sticks out on such spectacular plates.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Food was good, typical puertorrican flavor, but it was too greasy. I expected this from the empanadilla since it is fried but not from the rice with pigeon peas, nor the shredded pork. Portions are big and the prices very reasonable.

So my wife and I stood in Pittsburgh while visiting our first grandson for the 1st time. He lives at home with our boy and his wife about 1.5 hours away in Ebensburg PA. As usual I looked up any local Boricua spot and Flavor of PR popped up. We went there twice during our 3 day stay and made sure our baby boy🤔was good. If you’re Boricua this food will not allow u to ever forget it and if your not Boricua u will become one after your first bite. Their food is genuine and genuinely tasty.

The BEST empanadas, amazing vegan and vegetarian options. Arroz con gandules were amazing, make sure to try the arroz con leche for dessert.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I could feel the warmth and love that the owners poured into every aspect of their establishment. Huge dinning area with multiple compartments. There was a separated hall that can easily accommodate big private events.
The food was flavorful, but what truly set this restaurant apart was the sense of family and community that emanated from every corner.
We tried the beef empanadas, the chicken stew was good ( a bit salty for my taste) and the tres leché was moist and creamy.
Cheap prices as well!

A wonderful spot for Puerto Rican cuisine. Everything I've tried from here has been five stars. The baked chicken sandwich is my absolute favorite. It's a lovely family owned and operated restaurant that I look forward to visiting often.

The friendly, family-like service and "home cooked" food more than made up for the modest space of this small business. We enjoyed plantain, white rice, rice with gandules, empanadas as well as a pork sandwich and roaster chicken. Everyone enjoyed their meals and my kids enjoyed the games provided by the owners and the friendly conversation. Glad to have a place to go for real food!
